Haven't heard it yet. But a nice note: The last song, "Ruinbyen, is 13 minutes long :D

1 Hvitt lys (Dolphins farvel) 5:12 [White Light (Dolphin's farewell)]

2 Klaus og livet 4:43 [Klaus and Life]

3 Gud bevare landsbyen min 4:35 [God Save My Village]

        4 Vardøger 5:48 [? Something like a premonition spirit]

        5 Ingenmannsland 3:58 [No Man's Land]

6 Helt tilfeldig 2:51 ["Pure Coincidence", "Totally Random"]

7 Fest i hovedstaden 4:37 [Party in the Capital]

        8 Tvillingen 4:44 [The Twin]

        9 Blonde beist 2:09 [Blond(e?) Beasts]

10 Ruinbyen 13:28 [City of Ruins? Ruined City?]

Very much top-of-my-head, literal translations into English for the non-Norwegian readers. Other ideas for translations obviously welcome :) Only heard the three first tracks so far, and – I like it!

And now I have to work, will continue listening, and might be back with more comments.

This is just the most fascinating band! Almost thirty years with these guys and I'm still not over it.

Gave it a spin earlier today. Great album. Paus' "singing" takes some getting used to tho :D

This is the kind of album I wish Bjørn Eidsvåg would make as well. Such a great singer, but always syrupy reverb-drenched sound. This is more like electric Cash's American-series.

Some notes: "Vardøger" is very ABB.

The verse of "Tvillingen" reminds me of the verse of The Animals' "We've gotta get out of this place".

Reminiscences of "Court of the Crimson King" in "Ruinbyen". More modally I think, than in riff/melody.

Wow. This record is so much better than my (pretty high) expectations that I’m at a loss of words. Really. MP is doing something quiet extraordinary with Paus’ songs, his voice, his lyrics and melancholy. And all the changes, the details and the production: Amazing. Need to experience this live. Thanks guys <3

Unfortunately without international distribution – online shops are around 40 Euros incl. shipping (+ tax) :|

Lol well I guess Paus has sold the grand total of about three records abroad so far in his fifty or so year long recording career so I suppose his record company didn't quite see the need for international distribution…

Obviously there is always a first time ;-) A lot of foreign psychonauts will learn more about Norwegian "musical history"…

@Tomcat I paid 20 euro for the cd + shipping to Belgium, which is fine I guess? :-)

Thank you Nicoot, forgot to say that it's the vinyl that is needed.

So … I listened to the album on Spotify this morning. I wasn't expecting to like it. I didn't like the single ("Gud bevare landsbyen min") and that had reminded me enough of TITS to feel less than enthusiatic (as I'm not really a fan of the TITS albums). Imagine my surprise, when track after track I found myself liking the album more and more. Even "Gud bevare landsbyen min" sounded great in context. Fantastic – lining it up now for a second spin.

I have a question for those in the know – who is playing the acoustic guitar on the two shorter acoustic numbers ("Helt tilfeldig" and "Blonde beist")? The first of these two songs really reminded me of great Canadian singer-songwriter Bruce Cockburn. Anyway, I was wondering if that would be Paus himself playing.
