I ordered this on Oct 16 or 17th. It did take a while before I received it in Oslo (3 weeks later or something), but it sounds like I'm among the lucky ones.
Don't have a record player in my new apartment yet, so haven't heard the album. But I have heard all the tracks previously, except Take The Air (Pupil).
And the booklet is some of the funniest shit ever!
I also ordered only hours after it was online, but still have not got any information on shipping, I also live in Oslo.
Placed my order on October, 15th; should ship to southern Germany, but neither got any informations… seems like we have to hold on!
Just got mine. Very happy. Will now eke it out. Got to make the most of it what with the news and everything. Still, we might have lost something special, but the people of Trondheim have gained a damned good plumbing outfit.
It has arrived in Ghent, Belgium! Nice 'Sinterklaas' gift (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinterklaas).
FYI: a certification (sort of declaration of safety) on the packaging was signed on 17 November by the sender.
The Light Fantastic, got it at the Amsterdam gig. Played it a few times, knew most songs, but thought the sound quality was a bit off. Playing other records made me realize the audiocable from my pickup (an old Dual 505) was fucked, to a point only noise came out of the right speaker. For a tech-noob like me there was only one option and to have someone fix it for me, however this took a month before done. So only after this month I am crossing my fingers for a better sound, and yes…. the light was fantastic, playing records like crazy again, so come on MP, release some more of that black gold, I'm ready.
Me neither. To be honest, this is starting to piss me off a little. I'll cut them some slack for it taking time getting all of the orders out, but it looks like there is absolutely no pattern to how the orders are being processed.
Could there have been a hickup with some of the initial/very first orders?
I got my copy today and I think the remaining orders will arrive this week or the next! I also had bought a copy of the Supersonic Scientists-book and I think I got Snah's personal copy to read during an European tour since there is a dedication from the editor in the book! Something like "Hi Snah! Thanks for many good times! Nothing beats a good guitar solo…" – there are a couple of Norwegian words I don't know as well…
A handwritten note explained the condition of the book due to it have been part of a tour along with a Motorpsycho-sticker…thank you so much!
Once there was a delay because I had placed an order and Paypal did not forward the receipt of my payment for the records to the shop and they didn't know about it – I did send a letter and the records were shipped out the same day….
Since Light Fantastic is a rare record I contacted the shop to make sure they knew about my order and there was no problem this time only that there were a lot of orders for this record….
and today I got my copy – and it looks so amazing I'm thinking about buying a second copy and hang it on my wall here in my apartment….majestic design!
