@Tomcat The King Buffalo is just mind blowing. I’m very excited for the two other albums they’ve announced for this year.

Delving… hm, I don’t know. Listened to the album on streaming and I have to say, I find it quite boring. All the praise here now makes me uncertain, if I’m missing something?
    Will give it another try

@Kid A - kinda feels the same about the Delving album. Quality stuff for sure, but nothing that hooks me strongly to it so far. The Gold and Silver sessions were all cool, this sounds like a softer version of it. Will give it another few spins anyway.

@Kid A - i think i get the "boring"-verdict. Actually, i like that he doesn't fully exploit ideas to the absolut maximum, but rather relies on them to just work and unfold effect by themselves. Boring? Maybe. I like the confidence of keeping an idea pure and simple with just nuanced vairations and turns. Go listen to it on a sunday

    More new music:

    Kanaan - 2021 - Live in Oslo

    https://kanaanband.bandcamp.com/album/live-in-oslo

Kanaan is a young Norwegian power trio, playing their signature blazing freeform psychedelia, drawing inspiration from krautrock and pre-fusion jazz rock. They have released the studio albums Windborne (2018), Odense Sessions and Double Sun (both 2020) on Danish quality label El Paraiso Records.
The new album Live In Oslo is a mix of highlights from performances recorded at Kafé Hærverk, Nasjonal Jazzscene Victoria and Kulturhuset.

    Oslo Tapes - 2021 - ØR

    https://oslotapes.bandcamp.com/album/r

ØR – Norwegian for “dizzy, confusing” - is the third album from Italian avant-rock trio OSLO TAPES, and the album keeps what the word promises: a dizzying ride through a feverish dreamscape of imaginary Norwegian highlands painted in cubistic shapes. Hypnotic basslines, repetitive drum patterns, new wave synths and psychedelic guitar textures covering the full width of the stereo room, all seamlessly woven into a gloomy Kraut - tapestry which sounds refreshingly... modern, while paying tribute to the aged genre.

Jaga Jazzist released their own "The Tower" yesterday - it's a live recording of their awesome last studio album "Pyramid" (2020).

It was masterfully shot on video and is available on YouTube as well.

Slow times here, so I'll just throw in this radical deconstruction of the «Turangalîla-Symphonie» by Olivier Messiaen. Done by Motorpsycho friends I Like to Sleep for the Only Connect Festival.

If anyone thinks the stage looks a bit weird you can get a feeling of the audience view here.

Seems Gebhardt is part of a new band called Dang!!!. Stating: a seven-headed monster on a mission to create a new world post-pandemic rock n'roll order. 7" out soon, album out this fall. Signed on Apollon Records.

@mikke No idea, he is credited alongside with six others. But seeing Haavard Takle Ohr (Kvelertak, El Cuero) in the line-up, Geb is most likely not drumming.
