Timothy's Monster LP
January 25, 2008 11:23PM
Just noticed that the Timothy's Monster vinyl box is for sale at the Norwegian auction site www.qxl.no . The startprice? 1000KR!!! Sick... The number 1488/1500.

I remember some years ago I visited the vinyl marketday in Stavanger and spotted the same vinyl with the nr12(!!!) for 1200kr!

What do you think is best? To have the lowest number on a record (the first record produced) or to have the highest(the last record ever produced)?

I guess having either the first, the last or number 666 is best :-)

Ok, but what is the difference between them?

The new ones are on Stickman right? With a stickman logo on the back? And what number do they start on? From 1 to 5000? And do the new ones come with the vinyl-scratchings on the last side?

Hi! My rabbit ate half of my boyfriends TM LP. Does anybody know how to get him a new one?

Haha, your rabbit has good taste smiling bouncing smiley

But seriously, if you live in Oslo, record-stores like Big Dipper in Torggata
or Tiger in Henrik Ibsens gate probably have it in stock.

i think they are all the same except the individual numbering....these stickers are in different places.

the first edition got the Harvest logo on the vinyl.
there is no stickman logo on the lp

That's right. However, Stickman did release a vinyl edition with their logo on it in 1995. I don't remember the number of copies, but I'd guess approximately the same as the Harvest edition, somewhere between 1500 and 2000.

True that is Kris!
I've got nr. 1092 on stickman from -95 and nr. 1637 on Harvest, and they match quite good. Etchings, posters and all.
On the early Stickman the box is in one piece and the numbers are top left, just like on the Harvest ones.
I think the repressings have a pull off top, and that the numbers are bottom right.

buy it at [www.stickman-records.de] (25,-€)
it`s the re-released version including etching on the last side and the poster and stuff...

btw: my copy has #4360 (bottom left on back), big stickman logo on the lp-labels.

I bought my TM vinyl with Harvest label in 1999, with the number 1927, the reissue I've got is #5570. Paid 500 kroner for the Harvest record.

Hmm, but you know what? After nine months, the 500 ex splatter vinyl edition of Little Lucid Moments is still not sold out. I think that would have taken only a couple of weeks around the millenium change, so I guess the times are changing back again ...

I got the Stickman release, but like to have the Harvest one, too. When I was 12 my first ventures into not-so-commonly-known-from-the-radio music were 3 tapes given to me by my aunt, "Fireball" and "In Rock" by Deep Purple and "Meddle" by the Floyd, with the yellow/green Harvest label on it. So I'm scarred. Is Timothy's label that yellow one with the green lines, too?
