Motorpsycho - It's A Love Cult
Stickman / Self

by Barbara Volpi

Motorpsycho - It's A Love Cult Motorpsycho are an anomalous case in the music business. Since they formed in 1989 they have spent most of the time in their native Trondheim in Norway making every kind of music. When not on the road, the band enjoys the crepuscular atmosphere of its homeland that inspires dreamy musical journeys.
Motorpsycho have been everywhere: from the grunge territory to the acoustic and melodic horizon of ‘Phanerothyme’ passing through country, hard-rock and psychedelia. With ‘It’s A Love Cult’ they go back to sixties mixing prog-elements and west-coast melodies with the usual transversal attitude. Listening to ‘Circles’, ‘The Mirror & The Lie’ and ‘Composite Head’ is like entering into a kaleidoscope of emotions that will not leave you without a shiver.
