Someone on g35 pointed out to me, that MP used to play two songs by King Crimson onstage: “21st Century Schizoid Man” in 1993 and “Starless” in 1996. Check the old site, there is supposed to be a recording of “Starless” somewhere on there.

Thomas

(sound of me falling off floor)
They played that? Yeah!
They played “Rattlesnake Shake” by Fleetwood Mac a couple of shows ago and I thought it couldn’t get any better coverwise. And now thay’ve gone and done one of the finest Uncle Neil-songs around!
Please keep them on the setlist, guys, or better: dust off “Starless” by King Crimson too!

Thanks for posting this, Vegard!
I think it’s a beautiful cover, best one in ages imho. Also great T-shirt colours.

This list needs more John Coltrane. I nominate:
“Live at the Village Vanguard” (1961)
“Live at the Village Vanguard… again!” (1966)

Thomas
WOW! This is GREAT news! Must be my dream living rhythm section.

When MP played State-X in 2007 on saturday, on friday I saw Snah heading for the set by Aphex Twin (which was excellent by the way). So maybe:
Aphex Twin – Richard D. James Album (1997)

@ Seattle Psychonaut:
Hey there, haven’t heard from you in a while, neither here nor on g35! You okay?
Are you coming to The Old World for the 20th anniversary tour?
Greets,
Thomas
Yeah, that would be great. Watt (former Nighttown) please, with special guests and me on the guestlist! :MPD:
Greets,
Thomas
I’m reminded of a live-documentary about The Police. Sting and Stweart Copeland were not on speaking terms, so Stewart would leave him messages in dampening tape on his drumkit. He spent one whole evening banging drumheads that said “F*ck Off You Cretin.”
Come on guys, can’t we all just get along? Even though we all have differing views on which songs are or which period is the best, we all love the same band. Right?
Grtz,
Thomas
Plan #1
I think.

Thomas

Oh & Jeannette: If you have some records already done, you can e-mail us and we will order them quietly, we won’t tell anybody…
