So they're playing Palp Festival right now. A friend of mine just sent me a 15secs clip. Don't know how to upload here. Something light jazzy, whip that ghost style.

                Well put, Johnny.

That metal temple review got me even more excited. Seems to be quite the ride, that new album.

I remember listening only to The Suite and Year 0 for a couple of days before even diving into the album's 2nd half. I had to digest their quality and density first, before being willing or ready or able for more. And only then I went for The Sunship and The Alchemyst. Woah! Still one of my top 5 MP albums.

Oh and the drums… My band opened for them in the 90s and I was somewhat embarrassed by our drummer's huge kit. It was the 90s and the indie police was in my silly youngster anti-poseur's head. But then Kenneth came along with this kit and I was "oh… ok, it's all good, I was just dumb".

Thick as a Brick was meant to be a joke towards concept albums. And turned out to be quite a good one. I prefer A Passion Play, though.

I‘m more of a Foxtrot guy. And I like Tales from a Topographic Ocean musically in parts, especially the wild stuff in part 3. Lyrically well it‘s 70s esoterics by twentysomethings.

It‘s not really progressive music if you imitate 70s progrock today, is it? Do Motorpsycho do that? Maybe in parts. But there‘s NOX, TDDU and Folk Flest, so they fly beyond this issue. Didn‘t Bent once state they‘re truly prog by stating something like they push the current perception of musical concepts as opposed to trying to sound like those old bands?

Then again, it‘s music, arts… you‘re free to be as cheesy as you like.

as long as we're asking nicely and patiently and not kind of stating "we deserve this as fans and other artists are ok with it and think of your exposure".

Dime works for me, though. But I usually grab the latest recordings and listen to them once or twice and that's it.
