Quote:he said he 'was making a dvd for the band'
Well, that's exciting news! To me, at least. Did I miss sth?
Somewhere between 40 and 50 since 1999. First at Capitol, Hannover. But Café Glocksee is the cooler place, Tomcat…
Wohoo, Starmelt/Lovelight! Plus U lied and Spin, so they're still adding! And isn't Hightime new as well? Anyway, very nice setlist again, and quite different to the ones before.
I remember there was a thread here for the songs they played during one tour a couple of years ago, maybe even pre-Kenneth era? People kept track of the setlists and ended up with a beautiful list of how many times what songs were played. Something like 50 different songs in total, some being played just once or twice, others nearly every night. Might be nice for comparison to recent setlists.
I have to admit, I went out for a cigarette during HBM so I missed a good deal of the song. But I know what you mean, I remember I thought the same when they played it last year in two shows I saw.
Quote:Apart from the two assholes talking for the first minutes of GC close to me. Then suddenly they acted as if it was their favourite song ever. Why?Maybe we were standing close to each other, too, then. I was just behind the sound mixer (right side, looking at the stage), and there were two guys right behind me talking loudly during the first verse of TGC. I told them to stop talking, and a little later they started shouting "wohoo" and "yeaaah". Which wasn't much better than the chit-chat.
Wow, Taifun!
Lol, nice one!
Btw, kudos to the Schlachthof audience! From what I perceived (standing next to the sound mixer) they were dead silent during the quiet parts of the show. Something that has unfortunately become a rare thing these days, even at MP concerts.
Quote:Just another 3 minutes of Plan #1 or Hey Jane or whatever wasn’t too much to ask forThe second encore in Hamburg wasn't planned, and with that in mind, I was standing there clapping and somewhat hoping they'd come out again tonight as well. But at the same time I sort of knew they wouldn't. And now I think it's a good thing. Honestly, what can you play after The Golden Core? And what do you actually want to hear then? 3 minutes of Hey Jane? Really?
There's no other band on this planet that would start a show with a song like the Space Dog (most other bands don't even have a song like that, for that matter) but MP do it and still have something just as epic to finish the show. Just incredible. No ASFE, no Bartok, no Intrepid – no problem, really. I guess I would have been just as pleased if they had only played the first and the last one…
Hamburg was nearly 20 minutes…
Quote:The Wheel (about 10min. I think)Really? That would have been very much unlike the Hamburg version the night before. Anyone seen both shows?
I thought it was a bit faster in the beginning but maybe it was just what Pitje says.
Really, they played Feel in the end? Damn it, I shouldn't have left for my train after Plan#1…
