Has anyone who's received the Boxful and also have audience tapes of the full concerts been able to identify which versions are on it?
Damn, I love the sound and the performances so much I wish they'd just released everything.
And yes, I agree that some tracks are a little "conservative". I would have loved for instance, to have a Nothing/Mountain jam. Oh who am I kidding. I love love love it.
And yeah, the title track, holy hell. I remember standing, or almost hanging onto the front of the stage with eyes closed, such incredibly intense, emotional moments, thinking: "we shall be cleansed through noise" like some lunatic cultist.
Christer Falck said that there had been some misunderstanding where Geb got all 300 copies of the sertificates for signing first, and being the nice guy that he is, just went ahead and signed all of them. The other guys just had to follow suit…
Just back home from picking up. Christer is sitting on the stairs outside the Deichman library until probably just before the presentation starts at 19. No need for any receipts when I was there.
And boy, the package is fantastic, just beautiful. Sound on vinyls playing right now, seems brilliant, clear and detailed, spaceous, absolutely lovely. Haven't found any info yet on which versions were picked.
@tkm, I can only find my name once even though I made two contributions. I'm sure as long as there's a receipt/e-mail confirmation it's all good.
Unless I'm mistaken, the same setlist as the concerts, with Flesh Harrower and Home of the Brave as extras. Wonder if the BluRay and CD/vinyl have identical soundtracks?
Be interesting to see what color vinyl the Vol. 4 edition from Stickman will be. Seeing as the color of the others (as indicated by Runegrammofon) follow the color tone of the pictures on the album covers, maybe orange/light brownish?
I have quite light sensitive eyes and I absolutely hate the in-your-face-spotlights. And even worse are the strobes. Completely distracts from the experience. Booo!
Looks like the festivalgig at Lyse Netter, Moss will be on the 9th of june, not the 8th.

Well, I guess this means I will soon be the owner of 4 different-coloured versions of LLM :MPD:
I would love it if they put more material on the RWIII vinyl, obviously. The thing that struck me, though, is how neatly those tracks can be split into four pieces of roughly 20 minutes of music – which I believe is approaching the maximum time to get optimal sound out of one side of vinyl.
And since our friends time and again have stated that they plan their music for vinyl releases, it makes me think they were always considering issuing it on double vinyl at some point.
But that's just me making an ass out of u and me We shall see, soon enough!
Rewatched RW III last night, my rough timing estimates suggests that the vinyl edition will come out something like this:
Side A 20:00
1 Stained Glass 12:00
2 One More Demon 04:20
3 Starmelt 3:40
Side B 17:45
1 577 13:10
2 Ricky M. 04:35
Side C 21:00
1 Hogwash 21:00
Side D 20:15
1 STG 14:15
(encore break/audience) 01:00
2 Neverland 05:00
Quote:Another ref:Joni Mitchell – Coyote: "And their pills and powders to get them thru this passion play"
Explains the additional title (Miss Mitchel in the Ladies Room)!
And the lyrics to "Ladies Room" by KISS "Meet, meet you in the ladies room", you will never hear that line the same way again now
First impressions:
Quick Fix: ca 3'25. Nice enough up-tempo straight rocker. Short but sweet guitar solo.
Granny Takes A Trip: ca 4'05. Heavy bluesy thing straight out of the Manuscripts. Takes a few quiet breakes here and there. Again a nice solo from Snah, this one is longer.
Alain/The Messenger: ca 3:30 Accoustic, psychedelic guitar noodling. On the old 10" eps this would be the Gebhardt track. Kind of pointless, but charming.
California: 3'55. Lovely light accoustic west coast pop.
On Spotify since midnight, at least here in Norway. Enjoying "Intrepid Explorer" at the moment. Vague reminiscences of the Unicorn in this one for me. Not so much the melodics as the vibe and arrangement.
Stickman seems to be out of stock already…
