suntripper, great video, thank you for the link!

BTW, the guy in this video is not just a big Motorpsycho fan, but also a leader of bands The Grand Astoria, The Legendary Flower Punk and others (I posted some of his albums in New Music thread).

He also made this interview with the band in 2015 for Russian magazine InRock:

supernaut, as far as I know, they played only once there, at SKIF festival, St.Petersburg in 2018.

One of videos from that concert: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_igv5aBbwr4

I would recommend to check Stoned Jesus for those, who will visit Desertfest in Ghent – they are amazing live.

              >> also "Death's Door", an indie gem…

Bought it as well after watching a trailer (not played yet). Looks like Hyper Light Drifter (personal favorite of the genre), but with graphics from Miyazaki movies.

Not sure, if this topic is still relevant, but in case it is – here is my ultimate Game recommendation: Psychonauts 2 (that was released just yesterday).

It's super awesome and it has a proper title for this forum :).

Jaga Jazzist released their own "The Tower" yesterday – it's a live recording of their awesome last studio album "Pyramid" (2020).

                    Kanaan – 2021 – Live in Oslo

                    Quote:
Kanaan is a young Norwegian power trio, playing their signature blazing freeform psychedelia, drawing inspiration from krautrock and pre-fusion jazz rock. They have released the studio albums Windborne (2018), Odense Sessions and Double Sun (both 2020) on Danish quality label El Paraiso Records.

The new album Live In Oslo is a mix of highlights from performances recorded at Kafé Hærverk, Nasjonal Jazzscene Victoria and Kulturhuset.

                    Oslo Tapes – 2021 – ØR

                    Quote:
ØR – Norwegian for “dizzy, confusing” – is the third album from Italian avant-rock trio OSLO TAPES, and the album keeps what the word promises: a dizzying ride through a feverish dreamscape of imaginary Norwegian highlands painted in cubistic shapes. Hypnotic basslines, repetitive drum patterns, new wave synths and psychedelic guitar textures covering the full width of the stereo room, all seamlessly woven into a gloomy Kraut – tapestry which sounds refreshingly… modern, while paying tribute to the aged genre.

the conscience, glad you liked it. Yes, according to discogs (https://www.discogs.com/Giant-Sky-Giant-Sky/release/19018615): "Giant Sky is the solo project of Erlend Viken from Norwegian prog-/post-rockers Soup."

Also from the latest post in Giant Sky's bandcamp community:

"…I know many of you came via my other band Soup, and though I am the composer for both projects, I hope u find something new in this release. big hugs, Erlend".

So there is definitely a connection between these 2 bands :).

Jack O' the Clock – Leaving California

                        Quote:
Jack O’ The Clock’s Leaving California is a highly-detailed musical adventure that reveals new layers with repeated listens, from the opening strums of “Jubilation,” which introduces the record with whimsical folksy fanfare, to the angular harmonized violin lead on the closing track, “Narrow Gate.” Throughout, the songs of bandleader Damon Waitkus recall artists such as David Sylvian, Fairport Convention, and Elliott Smith, while creative musical arrangements showcase the band’s high-level compositional and instrumental chops. Upon first listen, Leaving California offers plenty of hooks, but this is music that truly reveals its depth upon the scrutiny of repeated spins.

The band have referred to themselves as 'majestic junk folk' and that's a pretty funny but not inaccurate description for a band who blend folk music and experimental music together in a unique way.

“It’s like hearing some of my favourite 'Old Timey' fiddle and guitar records…updated with compositional ideas worthy of a Stockhausen or a Boulez.” – The Sound Projector

It is funny that Motorpsycho performed a new song in 2020 which was not to be released on the forthcoming album in 2021 but maybe on the album after in 2022 (or earlier?).

There is plenty of time left in 2021 (it's only a spring).

Perhaps Motorpsycho would like to beat King Gizzard with their 5 albums in 1 year (2017) :).
