@wrax – Heavy Metal Fruit is definitely one of my favourite MP albums. Brilliant and varied, from start to finish. It also spawned one of my favourite (so many favourites ) Roadwork tracks – The Bomb-Proof Roll and Beyond on RW4. Maybe one day they'll find a Starhammer performance they want to place on a Roadwork album.
@wrax – another UK fan. Great! We need as many as we can get to keep drawing the band back here
I'm not a BOC fan, though I did see them once at the Hammersmith Odeon back in the early 80s. I'd love to read the comments on that thread though it seems the forum is not open to lurkers/non-members
Congratulations on being able to go see the band in Frankfurt. My second MP gig was in Germany (Köln, 2017) and going to see them there was one of the best gig-related decisions I ever made. The fan base is strong and healthy and I met some great people there. And the gig was utterly mind-blowing. Seriously. I'm sure you'll have a great time
@suntripper It's good to have another Brit on the forum – we need more British MP fans to try to make it worth the band's while to visit. But I've now travelled to Germany, Holland, Belgium and Norway to see the band and all the fans/psychonauts I've met through this forum have been friendly, helpful, welcoming.
I'll send Flashback a message asking what's happening to the video. Maybe make them aware of Motorpsychodelic Clips.
@pfnuesel – Hi, you removed your email address before I had a chance to note it down. Please state it again as I'm setting up the WeTransfer link now.
@pfnuesel – thanks for the offer, but I'm teetotal so I'll take an apple juice instead of a beer
@suntripper I'm a newbie myself – I've not even completed 2 years of fandom. So I know how ou feel about the lack of exposure the band receives here, and all the lost years. My real name is Jonathan, and unless yours is Warren, Bent, Snah or Tomas, we didn't chat.
I'll send the files later.
@suntripper – Interesting. I didn't know that, though it makes a lot of sense. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the video to be uploaded somewhere. If you can give me your email address here, I'll get a copy to you via WeTransfer.
@pfnuesel – I'll get a copy to you via WeTransfer.
If anyone else is interested, give me your email address.
Please note that I recorded it on my mp3 player, which has a built-in mic. The recording was made at 320mbps, so it doesn't qualify to be uploaded to DIME, even though the files I'm sending out are now FLAC. I ask that no-one therefore upload the files to DIME. They have already been uploaded to Motortrades, for those who use that forum.
@ the visitant – Give me your email address and I'll send you the London acoustic show.
Ole Paus and Snah working on a song
I don't even know Paus, but this photo makes me smile
Thanks Anders – as helpful as ever
Can anyone recommend any Ole Paus albums to listen to?
Like everyone, I expect, I had a number of highlights.
Across the gigs I saw, I'd have to say Triggerman and A Pacific Sonata were the main highlghts. But out of the specific performances I'd say Year Zero, Triggerman, Master Builder and A Pacific Sonata in London, Hogwash in Groningen (as it was my first), and Lacuna/Sunrise and Fool's Gold in Leuven. Whether these were onjectively better than any other tracks or versions, I don't know, but these were the ones that really hit me emotionally and sonically, transporting me onto a higher plane.
Other highlights included the whole London acoustic show, meeting Jero in Groningen, and Tomcat, Thomas, Alli and Ingo in Leuven. And finally getting through a whole MP concert with earplugs in and it proving to be a very positive experience!
Disappointments, if I dare, were (1) 577 being played at a number of gigs either side of the ones I attended, but not when I was present
(2) not meeting Nicoot for my own foolish fault of just losing track and not making a fixed plan before the gig  and (3) being not The Other Fool, but just another fool  when I tried to speak to Bent and Snah, who were both extremely gracious and friendly.
@ cloudhawker – I noticed that too. Hoping for an announcement soon. Fingers crossed.
Now that the spring tour is over, I figured we could do with an update on the current listings for the rest of the year. This is just copied from the previous page, but updated for the Spanish dates.
