@ BronYAur
@ Neil Tresor and @ BronYAur – you're mentioning HBM makes me wonder what they might have up their sleeves for a tour EP.
Psychotzar – another Sabs ref? Psychotzar and Psychonaut to go along with Supertzar and Supernaut. These guys crack me up.
Listening to Trust Us this morning and I'll definitely add my voice to the calls for a return of Radiance Frequency, with a quartet line-up.
@ JERO – I once saw Chris Squire wielding his triple-neck bass, while playing Taurus pedals on a stage on a boat at sea which was rocking so much that at the other end of the stage Steve Howe's pedal steel (which he keeps on wheels) kept rolling across the stage as he played his regular six-string and retreived the pedal steel with a foot. The things our heroes do to make a living and keep us entertained.
@otherdemon – But there's another photo of them playing STG ( :STG: ) and he doesn't have the twin-neck.
@ marc – Yr welcome.
@ marc – did you get my email re: Dresden?
@ Johnny – Thanks. Yes I do need more patience. Anyway, for now I have booked Leuven for the reasons both Thomas and The Other Anders give. It is also the easiest and cheapest venue for me to reach – Eurostar to Bruxelles. So in some respects, at least, it's a no-brainer. That then prompts the thought, 'Well, while I'm here I might as well catch a couple more gigs'. But I won't be paying out for anything other than that Leuven ticket until the new year and the rest of the tour dates are settled. But I do have to do a certain amount of planning in advance to take advantage of the cheapest international travel options.
@ Thomas – Leuven is top of my list at the moment – either starting my mini-tour there or ending it there. It'd be great to see you again there. At the moment Leuven – Hanover – Wiesbaden is looking good, but I'm not sure about accommodation in Wiesbaden. I'd be happy with a night train back to Bruxelles, but there aren't any.
@ boomer – the website for the hostel doesn't seem to be taking bookings for 2019 – it's a wierd set-up, unless I'm not following the directions properly. It'd be great to see you again if you make it to Leuven.
EDIT: Ticket secured for Leuven
@ Blashyrkh – Brilliant! Thanks
I'm currently looking at either the Utrecht, Groningen, Leuven trio, with a day off in the Dam on the 20th, or the Leuven, Hanover, Wiesbaden trio. Transport and accommodation costs will likely be the deciding factor. The addition of a gig on the 20th might make the difference. Or maybe wait to see what happens after Reutlingen. Köln and Zwolle or Amsterdam would be nice
@Juergen – I'm hoping they'll take that opportunity for a quick trip to London.
When I read those lengths, my first thought was Close to the Edge. My second was Relayer. If MP can come up with anything even close to those two (and Lux Aeterna is a damned good start) I'll be well happy. Anticipation steadily increasing.
Maybe a quick trip to London can be squeezed in? Perhaps not. Anyway, I'll have to start planning my own trip to Europe – but where? Would love to come to Germany again, but had been hoping for another Köln excursion.
