The Herzberg boot is good stuff, great sound!
Track 3 is Leslie's Vest/On A Plate.
Quote:The record is being mixed next month and will not see release before Christmas, but it will be well worth the wait. According to Bent: "This just might be our masterpiece."Hm, then Bent & Snah have different views on when the album's coming out. This is what Snah told a fan after the Kongsberg concert:
"Met Snah after the Monolithic gig and he told me some news about the new LP. It has four songs, each around 20-min. (Double LP – vinyl only). Will be out later this year. Stian Westerhus and StÃ¥le Storløkken (Supersilent) are both on this record. This was the best they ever had done, he promised." (thanks to Kai for the hot gossip!)
Some visual evidence  . 15 minutes of Arnie Hassle:
No, it doesn't say anything about the new album in the article.
BUT: The guy who wrote the article posted the following message on his Twitter:
"K. Kapstad on the upcoming MP album: A prog-epic. Huge, epic, pompous, monstrous."
Thx for the upload.
First impression: For the first time in years, they do the STG outro! And nice segue into Sail On. Too bad about all the dropouts though, because the sound does improve from STG and on. And some annoying drunk trønders in the audience, too  no offense
But nice to hear Hogwash and Hush with Stian!
An update: After this year's spring tour in Norway/Spain/Finland, we can conclude that the song On A Plate which was played 3-4 times in 1991 has been resurrected with the alternate title Leslie's Vest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PxOrurYkCA
The song Neanderthal that they played this year will be on it, as quoted by Bent several times while introducing it live. But Leslie's Vest? I'm not sure.
Interesting article! Will be exciting to see what happens with Leslie's Vest and Neanderthal…
Cool that KÃ¥re Vestrheim is producing again. I like what he did with HMF
Yeah, audio was taped. But that hasn't surfaced yet, just the Youtube-vids.
It hasn't been mentioned, but I'll mention it anyway: They are recording in the same studio where they recorded HMF (Propeller Studio in Oslo). KÃ¥re Vestrheim and Mike Hartung are engineers/co-producers, I guess.
Yeah, I almost get the feeling that this is like an extended rehearsal. Awesome footage, thx a lot to the taper!
The only thing that annoyed me was Snah's guitar which is out of tune during Arnie H.
It will be separate gigs. Unless both bands expresses a wish to collaborate, in which case Kongsberg Jazzfestival would be happy to oblige.
Thx for the report. Satan most likely is the song "Cornucopia", it has appeared on other setlists as Satan. Or maybe something new?
So the Tampere setlist was this then?:
The Bombproof Roll & Beyond
Hogwash
Satan (probably Cornucopia)
Mountain
Neanderthal
Whole Lotta Diana
Starhammer
Hallucifuge
All Is Loneliness
Coalmine Pony/Happy Birthday/Neanderthal (live in Murcia)
A wooping 20 people in attendance @ yesterday's Tampere-gig. I guess this brings back flashbacks to the early 90's when the boys played for 5 people and a dog
