Edit: Never mind.
Try pronouncing Devil in Norwegian, Anders.
June 16, 2018 at 18:29 in reply to: When it comes one day to the L.T.E.C , P-thyme and I.A.L.C Special Editions.. #33023That’s not what happened, is it? Someone at Man’s Ruin leaked the songs online, which pissed MP and Stickman off. I seem to remember they called off the deal because of this, Man’s Ruin went on for a good while after this if I remember correctly.
I’m sure your heroic battle against decency and general likeability will be rewarded somehow, doglicksman. Maybe with a song or something.
I'm pretty sure The Other Anders has at least 13-14 countries under his belt, including Japan. Speaking of Japan, Akane's list is probably pretty impressive as well. Anyone seen her lately, or did she jump off the tour wagon years ago?
You've got two (of my favorite) covers there (#3 and #7). That's cheating, buddy!
That's why we are here, and why we've got a million praise threads. Can't we have this one bitching thread where some of us discuss the .25 per cent of the entire MP discography we don't think as much of as the rest?
Songs of which early (live) versions were actally enjoyable, but then the band made some bad decisions and ruined them in the studio):
Fade To Grey
What If
Ratcatcher (Dora Peach was great!)
Star Star Star
Just unlistenable to these ears:
The Mirror and The Lie (Bent at his worst in every possible way)
Coventry Boy (mostly thanks to Snah's vocal performance)
L.T.E.C. (musically the evil cousin of Star Star Star, sans the greasy horns, and I just can't take Bent's delivery of the nasty, self-righteous lyrics)
I love these lists. Could someone kindly add numbers of times played to each song? That's always interesting. For us who just saw one show on a tour it's also nice to go back and see if one got the average set and/or was treated with something special.
Fantastic list. I've only got a couple of notes about snippets. I guess it's gonna be very hard to get those near complete. For instance, I seem to recall that especially around 1998-2001 the You Lied / Black To Comm combo would very frequently include snippets of all kinds of songs from Dra Te Hælvete (Beranek) to, well, anything really. Also: Gold and Silver used to appear regularly within Mountain in 93 and 94, not only that one time (like Rome and Sentrum Scene, Oslo 94, for instance). We Travel The Spaceways also appeared as a snippet in 2000 (Halden).
(Oh, and Roadhouse Blues in Lillehammer 96 is not just a rumour, I was there. That was Bent performing it solo because Geb was taking a shower and Snah having a beer or something after the main set.)
Edit: I see BronYAur beat me to it a couple of places. Bravo to both him and Juergen for the work!
@otherdemon, you're absolutely right. I think they played for almost two and a half hours. No complaints from me there, although I was ready for plenty more after Feel. The gig was loud, heavy and so uncompromising for the whole first hour it made me laugh. Quite unexpected (to me, at least) for a midweek gig in Norway (well, maybe Halden back in the days). I haven't done a full concert report in probably 15 years and this won't be one either. Let's just say it was as great as almost any MP gig I've witnessed. Really wish I was able to see more shows on this tour, they've got some great new beasts on board (Intrepid Explorer – wow!). Oh, and the sound was really good, so I can confirm that the singing has indeed improved! Great visuals, too.
Ship of Fools
The Tower
The Cuckoo
Hell pt. 1-3

Bartok of the Universe
Riding the Tiger
Heartattack Mac

Actually, it is claimed that Øien sang President Block. Still wrong, though!
And yeah, the book really is great so far (I'm on page 65 and 230. Love the details and digressing notes!).
I haven't checked, but I'd be surprised if it was. As mentioned earlier, it's included as a regular track with a title on disc 4.
