RW1 still is my favourite live record EVER,

I wonder what RW4 would be like

hoping for long spaced out jams too!

    Here we go :

    Guitars :

    Fender Standard Tele USA (’92)

Fenix Les Paul (Korean copy of ’59 standard by the guy who made the first and best Japanese Squiers)

Sold my Yamaha AP-X7 acoustic a few years ago to an MP fan!

    FX :

    Zvex Fuzz Probe

Dunlop Crybaby (was a gift from a friend, maybe I want to change it…)

Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret (killer with a Tele!!!)

    Xotic AC+

    Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe +

    Pigtronix Echolution

    Amps + cab :

Marshall Valvestate 8080 (my first amp, still using the speaker sometimes…)

    Fender HotRod Deluxe

    Orange Tiny Terror

    Sunn Model T reissue (90something)

Hiwatt SE 4123 vintage cab with original Fanes (’73)

These last 2 seem to be a perfect match! Got the cab yesterday and I’m so happy with it ;-)

For the moment there’s also a

    Squier Strat (Japanese)

    Stagg Fretless Bass

    Roland keyboard

    and an acoustic violin

    hanging around from friends/housemates

no need to say that we end up jamming occasionally!

    And still there’s a wishlist…. but it’s getting shorter

Unfortunately I’m not in a band for the moment, just doing some noise-drone jamming

    with a friend.

We have the chance to play at a festival a few friends from ours are organising, but they’re not really into jamming stuff,

so we probably gonna tell them that we play some funky dance music, just to get are name on the bill.

We ourselves do strongly believe that there is a signifanct audience for the stuff we want to bring ;-)

I’ll keep you posted how the story ends. Must be somewhere mid august…

PS : I introduced my friend to MP and he saw their show at AB Brussels

Now he insists that we play K9 suite!!!!

    Gonna be fun anyway

    cheers

    @ Un.Chien :

That’s correct about ‘Creature with the Atom Brain’. It’s an Antwerp-based band and they did

support for MP when they played in Antwerp 2 years ago @ Hof ter Loo.

That’s where I bought my ‘Heavy Metal Fruit’ shirt!

    Back to metal? ;-)

Djeezes, does he really think to get 175 dollars for Black Hole/Black Canvas on vinyl?

Even if it’s mint condition and sealed, OMG

Got nearly every MP thingie on vinyl (except Soothe & Demon Box),

but no matter what, I will never sell these items

I’m only in it for the music I guess….

    Am I stupid?

    About Brussels :

Got the news last week from the booking agent

today people @ AB told me it will be on their site tomorrow

Support will be Madensuyu from Gent

2 piece band that can explode live

great support for MP if you ask me!

btw Madensuyu is turkish word for sparkling water

in reply to: January new album!!! #14921

pre-ordered it on vinyl through Stickman

and nothing in the mail, hopefully on monday

    to discover the artwork!

saw it in the store today on CD so I bought it

(couldn’t resist after reading previous posts)

    listening to Gullible’s Travails now

(middle part reminds me of CAN btw…)

I think that’s what TraktorBass calls brutal and funky

indeed best MP since Trust Us I guess,

cause it reminds me of this album

    Due to the production? Songs?

    @GBD

Previous albums also dissapointed me in the beginning,

took a while to get used to the new sound

but this one is a bit different if you ask me,

    like it from the beginning

    I hope it lasts!

Guess we’ll have to wait a few more months to enjoy this live

    In the meantime…. ;-)

in reply to: Motorpsycho’s favourite album list! #11415

Sorry for bringing this up again, but I think we forgot just a few albums… ;-)

    what about :

Slint – Spiderland (probably one of the best albums I ever heard, pretty sure MP digs this too!)

    and

    Sunn o))) – Black One

    anyone?
