Seven Impale – 2023 – Summit
https://sevenimpale.bandcamp.com/album/summit“The long-awaited third album from Seven Impale is finally here, seven years after “Contrapasso”.
The new album “SUMMIT” continues in a well-known Seven Impale style, blending jazz and progressive rock with more heavy influences into four juggernaut tracks. Without leaving the madness of “City of the Sun” and “Contrapasso” behind, the album gives the music and lyrics the space and time needed to captivate and dazzle.
Seven Impale might have reached the summit on this one, but does it mean they have nowhere to go from here?”
June 2, 2023 at 16:27 #41446Mouth from Cologne with their fourth album Getaway (released by This charming man records)
Prog, rock, space, garage, jazz and krautrock with lots of Motorpsycho vibes and reminiscences of early Genesis and other prog heroes
Every Psychonaut should have heard the title track with almost 23 minutes.
Also an excellent live band.- This reply was modified 1 year, 5 months ago by Guybrush Threepwood.
June 4, 2023 at 16:44 #41448radio romaniac likes to share a spontaneaus little mix. it contains only artists, he has seen live in 2023. maybe you´ll also like it.
June 11, 2023 at 17:30 #41467While, like most of you, waiting for the new release to arrive in our mailbox any day now, I’d like to take up some space for a little promo for our next concert: On June 17 we will host KROKOFANT with Ståle Storløkken and Ingebrigt Håker Flaten at Sojo in Leuven, Belgium!
Highly recommended for anyone into Elephant9, Red Kite, Hedvig Mollestad Trio, Fire! Orchestra, Møster! and more of those great Norwegian/Swedish bands – all lovingly nurtured by the Rune Grammofon label – who brazenly mix jazz chops with rock dynamics!
July 29, 2023 at 13:30 #41601Fantastic new album from British band The Fierce and the Dead. Having formerly only released intrumental albums (angular, King Crimson-ish, tricksy, layered), the band take a left turn and release a bunch of songs with vocals! And what vocals! Goodness knows where Kevin Feazey has been hiding his voice all these years, but this new sound is a triumph. Plus, TFATD are great bunch of blokes!
July 30, 2023 at 10:27 #41602Shortly on Burg Herzberg’s Freak Stage:
sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
July 30, 2023 at 14:02 #41603Wow, great find – we need to capture this 👏
A professional 1h+ shot with few audio drops, the new drummer getting into the “flow” including a long intro jam and a 28 minutes “Not The Skull” as final track … quote: Now let’s get high ;-)

August 12, 2023 at 17:00 #41616Not exactly new – but coverwise the missing link between “Ancient Astronauts” and its “Affinity” & “Cluster”-forefathers mentioned some aeons before & above. Long memory in the age of social media – a futile enterprise…
August 20, 2023 at 17:38 #41633Not a new band to any of us, I know (although a relatively new song), but, just in case anyone misses this:
August 20, 2023 at 17:42 #41634Same amazing location – different angle:

September 30, 2023 at 17:37 #41836Any lovers of psychedelig spacerock (or of Tomas Järmyr) should take the trip (sic) to Desertfest Antwerp on October 21.
Black Moon Circle with Tomas on the drums are really a trip to outer space.October 2, 2023 at 08:37 #41848I love psychedelic spacerock (35007 ), thanks!
October 4, 2023 at 13:28 #41858Anybody going to King Buffalo + Slomosa in Deventer?
October 4, 2023 at 14:07 #41859I’ve seen King Buffalo at the Sonic Whip festival in Nijmegen earlier this year. Amazing!!
