It seems that my beloved torrent website is down
There seems to be a database error. I hope that not all the torrents are lost.
Problem solved! The tracker is online again. The torrents are still there.
@juergen could you please ask him for me too. I'll send you an email too.
Has anybody ever asked the band if they were cool with putting all the recordings the community has up on archive.org? Much easier than torrenting stuff.
Getting MP on archive.org would be great. And when/if they are there we should petition the relisten-app to add them there too.
To get MP on archive.org someone needs to get the band to create the collection according to the archive.org FAQ: https://help.archive.org/hc/en-us/articles/360016553532-Live-Music-Archive-etree-org-
I pesonally do not have issues with torrents as long as they are widely accessable and not too strictly regulated. Imho Motortrades is a far too close or specialized community to guarantee a regular flow of downloads for both downloaders and providers. I'm fine with Dime (note the rhyme ) – but a Motorpsycho collection on archive.org would be a wonderful thing – finally MP next to Grateful Dead in what they do (they already are, btw).
I don't have any connection to the band or the management, but maybe someone has and can make the proposal.
Motortrades is lacking seeders, because the community is to small. Dime is ok, but only for current stuff.
If I remember correctly the band never was against recording and sharing and having the recordings freely available would also put a stop to anybody trying to make money of them. Only songs released on forthcoming Roadwork releases would have to be taken down, but that's the same with torrents.
Maybe we could just start a petition on their official homepage.
Oh! Been putting this off for ages, lost my dime-account, and is desperate to hear the recent 577s. Is it possible to send me an invite to m.anfinsen[at]gmail.com?
How do I signup for motortrades?
Write me your E-Mail address and I will try me best.
