I wish! You've just sent me into wild fantasising territory! If only I could play anything like as well as him!
There is something sad and poignant about seeing that kit up for sale. I absolutely love everything Kenneth did when with the band. I know things change and we're still doing very well for new music but, damn, they were good together!
July 15, 2022 at 07:04 #40278i agree. Kenneth had a fantastic influence on the MP Music. When LLM came out i was like: Fuck… they are playing exactly the music i like
July 21, 2022 at 10:04 #40279I totally agree with you, dongonz. LLM is still a standout in a catalogue of rare and extreme quality.
July 21, 2022 at 10:25 #40280Around 5000€..not exactly cheap, but sounds fair given the exclusivity and the quality of the kit.
Also agree regarding LLM. With the arrival of Kenneth, they right away hit the perfect balance between indie & prog; thinking & guts.
July 21, 2022 at 19:00 #40281I remember listening only to The Suite and Year 0 for a couple of days before even diving into the album's 2nd half. I had to digest their quality and density first, before being willing or ready or able for more. And only then I went for The Sunship and The Alchemyst. Woah! Still one of my top 5 MP albums.
Oh and the drums… My band opened for them in the 90s and I was somewhat embarrassed by our drummer's huge kit. It was the 90s and the indie police was in my silly youngster anti-poseur's head. But then Kenneth came along with this kit and I was "oh… ok, it's all good, I was just dumb".
August 4, 2022 at 15:34 #40282It felt so goooood to dance to the rhythms of KK again. Amazing Spidergawd show at Herzberg-Festival
August 5, 2022 at 18:41 #40283@conscience, nice, you have been there. didn't make it to Herzberg this year. Do you know if Rockpalast was there and made a record?
August 5, 2022 at 20:13 #40284@dongonz: I don‘t know about Rockpalast. But I found a snippet (not best sound). The show started in rain and there was no sax on stage but even without sax (and Bent on bass) it was maybe the best SG show I attended yet. I didn‘t care much of them the last years, but need to say, they are better than ever live. I had so much fun.
