It looks as though the moment for this thread has arrived. If you are not completely against the very idea, what would you like the band to cover live (that they have not already done)? Maybe give a link too for our consideration.
Here’s my vote. Nektar’s King of Twilight – based on their live version rather than the studio track.
“King of twilight” is great! For me also very associated with Iron Maiden from when I was a kid (b-side of the 1984 “Aces high” single). And since Mp has done “The trooper” during soundchecks it would all make sense – everything’s connected :D
@grindove: Glad you approve! Nice connection! In case you haven’t seen it, check out on YouTube the 1973 footage from Swiss TV, recently unearthed, with Crying in the Dark / King of Twilight closing the show.
Now that we are playing old covers again, it’s time to bring back The House At Pooneil Corners! Their coolest cover ever.
And it has to start with that angst-inducing do-di-do-di-dee, do-di-do-di-DEE-organ! That was opportunities missed both when Ståle joined them, as well as when Deathprod returned for Demon Box anniversary.@supernaut: This thread would welcome your ‘Stray’ contribution! It does sound like just the sort of thing the band could beef up.
Would love for them to cover this cult band. Sea Shanties is a forgotten, horribly underrated classic.
