May 12, 2013 at 22:38 #24396Stained Glass played for the first time since 2002, then. Here's hoping for a recording!
May 12, 2013 at 22:50 #24397Bent had to peek at the words for Stained Glass.
Great gig! I am glad, I decided to go in the last moment! Really nice to hear some old gems again. I never thought they'd be that good again after the dreadful unicorn gig.
When U lied started, I thought "Not again!", but that was the best version of the dozens I heard over the years. Really nice guitar play by Fiske. Second guitar player is a good idea in general!
Very good evening!

Stained Glass was great, whole concert was great.
May 13, 2013 at 08:27 #24399I don't know what happened to it. I bet the owner is part of this forum.
I'll have to say that for me the only song that didn't fit the flow of the evening was Whip That Ghost. It's jazzy feel was somewhat misplaced in that hard rocking set.
May 13, 2013 at 10:19 #24400Great Gig.
Ba(e)nd(t) in a great mood, audiance fantastic and respectful until the end.
Really nice to hear Stained Glass again.
Incredible Arne, Loneliness and Whip versions.
Maybe the bands best hamburg gig ever, at least the best that I saw there.
Now I have to go to the train station… :STG:
May 13, 2013 at 12:21 #24403it was a great rocking show. but unfortunately a little too loud, in my ears.
the set was unexpectedly chopped. there were only few smooth transitions (drugthing > you lied > arne h.). fillmore said "that magic glow was missing somehow".
but all in all nothing to moan about.
the outro of S.T.G. was definitely magical, a highlight of the set.
:STG:
May 13, 2013 at 17:02 #24404I said the "magic flow was missing". The disrupted and mixed setlist prevented them from really slipping into the magic zone. There were no transitions between the songs. Instead of a fluent jammy set we got a collection of great individual songs that were all played to perfection. The best moment might have been the first 30+ minutes (Year Zero, Hell, Ãœberpilgrim). Another highlight was the altered "STG" outro during which they went way out there, a solid 15 min "Arne H", a wild "August" and an emotional "Fool's Gold". "Bro" was nice to hear and Snah's solo was insane but it didn't really sit comfortable with the rest of the set. Absolute highlight was "Hell"! Indeed one of the better Hamburg shows, maybe the best since Markthalle 2000. Berlin 28.04. however was more my kind of Motorpsycho show
May 13, 2013 at 17:33 #24405Oh my…. That slipmat!
Really cool!
Do they sell this, and if so at what price?
If a good soul would buy me 2 copies of this at an upcoming show, I will happily cover the cost and shipping to Norway… And loads of karma!
May 13, 2013 at 18:09 #24406Quote:fillmore: I said the "magic flow was missing".ok, but – hey – magic glow is not a bad notion, isn't it?
May 13, 2013 at 18:13 #24407Quote:sernst: Do they sell this, and if so at what price?yes, slipmat €10,-
May 13, 2013 at 18:28 #24408@stereosofa – thanks a bunch for the info!
Is anyone going to an upcoming show willing to help me out with this beauty?
I'll throw in some eternal gratitude next to that karma…
