currently listening through some old recordings and thought it could be interesting to see which are your favorite mp jams over the years.
i'm currently relistening a somewhat odd 'under the radar' show from 12th August 2006 (for noise festival, switzerland) which features four songs flowing into each other with some amazing jamming.
triggerman -> manmower -> the wheel -> devil dog
insane stuff.
June 11, 2014 at 16:29 #27012A few great ones that really caught my ears over the years:
Brussels 2006: Un Chien -> Sideway Spiral III -> Triggerman (great psychedelic stuff!)
Bielefeld 2008: Landslide -> Flick Of The Wrist -> Blindfolded -> Step Inside
Oslo 2013: Ratcatcher -> Cornucopia/King Kong/Go To California -> August
I guess only Oslo of these really flow into eachother, but amazing rows of jams anyway.
June 11, 2014 at 16:40 #27013@2112: Do you mind seeding that recording? I have been waiting for it to turn up again.
June 11, 2014 at 16:58 #27014No of course not. I'm a bit out of touch where the action is nowadays with torrents and stuff. recommendations?
June 11, 2014 at 17:59 #27015There are basically two homes for the free exchange of Motorpsychedelic shows, as far as I know – motortrades.org and dimeadozen.org
June 11, 2014 at 18:30 #27016Glow 》Hogwash
There is some true Motorfloyd magic in that transition that's just unparralled elsewhere.
I've been lucky enough to experience it Live twice. I'll use this space to make a case for the next Roadwork: Rotterdam autumn 2008!
The setlist:
1. Un Chien
2. Year Zero »
3. Glow »
4. Hogwash
5. Taifun
6. Sunship
7. Step Inside
8. Vanishing Point
9. Greener »
10. Flick of the Wrist
11. LLM
12. Loneliness
This gig had Bent, Snah and Kenneth interlocking as I've never seen before. Or since. Right from the intro to of Un Chien to the acapella, whispered (!) outro of Loneliness one beautiful flowing jam after the other. Every song in this set performed to perfection. It was truly one of those nights where everything is just right!
Here's a teaser. How I wish to relive the full magic of this show again!

June 11, 2014 at 18:45 #27017Rotterdam 2008 was indeed unbelievable good, forever in my Top list! Too sad I was never able to track a recording, that would probably a first pick if I could dig into the mp vault Though the very quiet ending of Loneliness had been … disturbed by a shouting moron (or had that been a scream of eternal ecstasy ?!)
June 11, 2014 at 20:03 #27018Can't say I have a clear overview on the recordings. I'd pick Arne H from RW4. Wasn't it from Leipzig?
June 11, 2014 at 20:06 #27019Oh that Rotterdam setlist sounds very intriguing indeed.
June 11, 2014 at 20:32 #27020My Best Friend around 2002, I guess…
June 11, 2014 at 21:13 #27021@supernaut: yes that was leipzig. that arne h version would be on the top of my list too. but whip that ghost from yesterday was as well a very great jam, which was really the best version i've heared so far. with so great solos from reine (!!) and snah. i'm still impressed by that.
and the whole show in haarlem 2009 (all is loneliness from rw4 was recorded there) was an evening full of great jams.
manmower-all is loneliness-cornucopia-577 …magic…
June 13, 2014 at 09:23 #27022not a jam but the Rockefeller 1996 segueing Heartattack Mac > True Middle > Loneliness > STG > Plan #1 is quite something.
June 13, 2014 at 17:49 #27023All these years I never understood why there were no live recordings available…and no culture of trading concert recordings like with the Grateful Dead or Phish. Until today I realize there is and I've been missing out. Thanks ThorEgil, thank you!!! I was able to enter dimeadozen, but is there a possibility to get an invite to motortrades.org? Anyone?
June 14, 2014 at 07:58 #27024Wow! Even the teaser was amazing! Flick of the Wrist must be included in next Roadwork.
