Appreciate the effort Blashyrkh. Hope there is a solution, really enjoyed the site. A merger with the archive or Bernie’s probably not doable because of the databasing? Content wise obviously there are interesting links to be made with video’s and audio.
January 1, 2026 at 18:32 #45030hey Blashyrkh what happened to your awesome website ? Cant find it anymore…any plans of getting it (no not that) up again ?
January 8, 2026 at 13:11 #45035Hi Bernie, yes i know.
I currently don’t have the funds to keep the website up and running. The domain name (if we choose mpdb.be) costs €32.99 per year, and the website hosting is €78.99 per year, bringing the total to over €110 per year.I still have a backup from everything.
Another option would be to use the same hosting and domain as motorpsycho.no, but for that, we’d need to coordinate with the website builder and MP themselves. If possible, we could create something like db.motorpsycho.no or gigs.motorpsycho. That would be awesome! 😃 But I’m not sure how likely it is.
January 8, 2026 at 15:45 #45036I am pretty sure if you set up a GoFundMe or similar a few of us would be happy to chip in a tenner each to make sure this awesome resource is available, this year and next. We read you: You should’t bear all the cost alone.
January 8, 2026 at 18:38 #45037hey Blashyrkh, thanks for the reply (I did a backtrack and figured it out amongst the post). I hear you about costs…Im in the same boat. Until now paying for all of it out of my own pocket. I’ll ask the band (more importantly whomever does their website) if that’s an option. Considering the amount of data it might not be as simplke as we think. im not an IT guy unfortunately. I have my own troubles keeping the clips page afloat. Ill see what I can do.
January 8, 2026 at 22:05 #45038Hi Bernie,
It’s possible for the current developer of the Motorpsycho website to create a separate “environment” that I can access—without giving access to the main MP website itself.
I can then upload all the files directly to that environment.
The current website builder can create a subdomain, for example db.motorpsycho.no, which would be linked to this separate environment.
All of this wouldn’t incur any extra cost, just about 15 minutes of the website builder’s time.
After that I need about an hour and the gigs website is back online. No extra costs and it will be always up and running as long as the official website is running
It’s also not an heavy website, so that won’t cause any problems.

March 6, 2026 at 12:00 #45208Yeah, this deserves a lot of kudos. Just another example that this is indeed a love cult
March 9, 2026 at 15:46 #45223Hi everyone,
Thanks a lot! Much appreciated!
The project is still evolving, and I’m continuously working on improving the data and features. That’s why I’d really love to hear feedback from you guys.
Things I’m especially curious about:
Is there anything missing that you would expect from a Motorpsycho live database?
Are there features you would find useful or fun?
Have you noticed any incorrect or incomplete information?
One important note: user accounts are not possible for now. Initially, it was possible to create an account and mark the gigs you’ve attended, but that feature had to be removed for security reasons.
If you have suggestions for improvements, new features, statistics, or visualizations that could make the site more interesting for fans, I’d love to hear them.
Thanks for checking it out, have fun and stay save!
Dennis
March 9, 2026 at 16:32 #45224Hey Dennis, thanks again for the udpate. It’s truly great.
Regarding feedback or comments, I think an active map for cities (not countries) would be fun and visually appealing, in the same vein as those :
https://www.traversees-urbaines.fr/map/cinemas-marseille-france-16.htmlhttps://www.oncidiumfoundation.org/access-treatment/
I think the dropdown lists are sort of unusable (on Vivaldi/Chrome),they are too long anyway
One database site that I enjoyed using for years is the Guided By Voices one :
https://gbvdb.comWith pages dedicated to songs, cities, etc, it may fix the drop down list issue.
In any case, thanks a ton!
