        KILLING JOKE

are on german, belgium and finland tour now. go catch 'em! i've seen them this week and they are as astonishing as ever. with additional funtime inserted here and there. ol'geezers going bonkers on stage, a phenomenon i observed recently in lots of old bands. enjoying themselves due to being still around after all these years and in no way hiding it. so even Killing Joke do the occasional funny stunt nowadays. :) (at least i dont remember them being funny way back when…)

        22 from Norway

Just waiting for entering the venue for 22 gig (oh, but 7bands tonight!).

KK let me know about them, and they just come over here for Japan release, the guitarist is ex.GÃ¥te, very unique music he makes now. Maybe bit poppy to your taste, but unusual sence they have and all Norwegian friend who saw em play recommended to me also.

        I'm gonna check em tonight ; )

          SABATON

Is what I can't get enough of these days. Northern Swedish heavy metal that scrubs the floor with your wimpy indie prog. :-)

My Bloody Valentine recently reissued "Isn't Anything" and the absolutely seminal "Loveless", together with a compilation of rare and unreleased tracks "EP's & Rarities 1988 – 1991". All remastered (and quite noticably so – in a good way) by Kevin Shields himself.

Word from mr. Shields has it, that this year will see the release of a new album, which was started back in 1993, and an EP, consisting of completely new material. He has been promising new material for about as long as he said he would deliver the remasters, but since the latter have now appeared, maybe his word is good on the former!

                RIP Adam.

i bought my dearly beloved v-twin tube pre amp straight from a salesman's hands in 1993 because he played that riff to me to show what the pedal was all about.

Yes. I really like their INSTARMENTAL album. Oscillator Train! 500 Miles Daytona! Amazingly epic before everything was labelled "epic". No one made music like that around here. I've seen them a couple of times back then. But were they on hiatus for a time? Or did silly me simply forget about them…. Anyway they seem to be back and strong.
