It leaked onto the www you know
I got my Rune copy today, but i must admit that i found it via google last night! High quality MP3. And i've been listening to this version all day at work! And i simply love it! TBPR&B and AIL are monsterous, Wishing Well is abeauty, and the rest are good too! Another gem from the gods!
April 8, 2011 at 14:33 #19085All I got in the post today is a fine for (too) fast driving
April 8, 2011 at 14:55 #19086i am very sad that my favourite record shop will not have it until may. now i have to order it via the label, but that doesn't help the small records store…
April 8, 2011 at 16:23 #19087Fantastic! Wishing well is insane. And Bomb Proof ! Woop Woop
April 8, 2011 at 18:02 #19088I have been fearlessly skronking all day. Better than I expected (and I expected it to be good!) If Snah is the guitar god then Bent is the bass god. His bass playing is awesome on this record…and I don't use that word lightly.
April 8, 2011 at 19:22 #19089Great album & very high quality recording, I'm impressed by how clear the sound is (makes the disclaimer on the back seem a bit odd). All the instruments are very distinct, the performance of the guys is simply amazing. I was a bit sceptic because of the track list (personal thing) but after just one spin all of that has gone. Great work!
April 8, 2011 at 22:15 #19090Man wishing well is such a beauty! Btw here's the vid from the actual preformance ->
Kinda cool to sync it up with the RW audio. Makes for a pretty cool video.
The album kills btw! Lovin' it!
April 9, 2011 at 00:48 #19091I'm so happy they have put a song form an italian concert…finally!
That one in Trezzo D'Adda, was really amazing, I'd kill for having the compleate master.
April 9, 2011 at 06:03 #19092Only Snar is GOD, but real motor is Bent 'n' so called oil or fuel is Kenneth!

Really! I'm also really happy about it! One thing I better say is I've never been to Italy to see MP… hope someday, of course^^
April 9, 2011 at 08:44 #19094The German distributor "Indiego" lists the release for April 29th. That means it is exclusive for Stickman for three weeks. I can understand Stickman's policy but this means that it is hardly possible to support the local record shop (oh yeah we still have one local indie record store here in Magdeburg).
April 9, 2011 at 09:23 #19095Got it today and just listening!
First impression, best sound of all RWs but sill raw. For someone who's not familiar with MP it still may be too "live sounding" to get some parts/songs, but I like it alot!
The vocals: Guess they redid the one or the other in the studio but that's cool with me if you get such a result. If that is all sung live, respect!
They took that really great version of Wishing Well and The Alchemyst is played very good and very fast! And cool to hear some Mellotrons and Moogs on there as well. The out of space Bomb Proof is very nice. Landslide is just great. Always liked it and this is a perfect live performance.

If that is all sung live, respect! It's pretty obvious they did some auto-tune on some of the vocals (esspecially Wishing Well, Bent is inches away from sounding like a smurf occasionally  )
But they also did some "Jimmy Page-ing" in places: Replacing with parts from other performances. Case in point: The end of Wishing Well. If you check out the original Youtube-clip of it posted previously in the thread, you'll hear that Bent originally sang the ending lines quite sour. But on Roadwork 4, it's sung great and way different. So I think they cut in the ending from a different performance (maybe Winterthur Salzhaus 2 days earlier?) However, Wishing Well still rules!
Other than that, AWESOME SHIT! Great to have the Leipzig Bombproof in pristine quality. But I wasn't quite pleased with The Alchemyst, it felt a bit anti-climactic (esspecially when Snah started the flanger-effect on the guitar, everything drowned in a wall of sound) I also like Landslide, but then again Phanerothyme is my favorite pop-period album…
But for me, this is easily the best Roadwork volume this far :MPD:
