I feel the same Anders, was much more excited last week when DB was still No.1 – but however it’s a great chance all the same… let’s see at what day mp will play and if a full festival-pass is needed!

Bent is saying about playing TM:
I really need a teleport to get back to who we were and how we tought back then.
But it will be interesting for both MP and the fans for sure.
March 10, 2010 at 02:52 #16484Anders: I couldn’t agree more. This is a HUGE opportunity lost. Virtually ALL the elements of Timothy’s Monster have been explored in and out over the past 15-16 years, while there is so much magic from especially Demon Box that has been locked up for the same amount of time.
Lars Lien – for one – agrees with us.
March 10, 2010 at 13:52 #16485I think it would be an even greater oppurtunity lost if Timothys Monster didn´t win! To me it´s one of the most extravagant, fascinating and beautiful albums ever made. Just imagine Bent walking on stage to kick off 2 hours of heavenly music with one of Motorpsychos greatest acoustic pieces; Feel.
Then; Trapdoor, kill some day, on my pillow, wearing yr smell, Now its time to skate, Watersounds, The wheel, Grindstone and The golden core!
I can`t wait!
April 1, 2010 at 16:00 #16486@The Other Anders:
Quote: “All three records have a huge chunck of the progressive, heavy and jam elements which fits so well with the Motorpsycho of today, and which I do not see so much in the majority of the songs on Timothy’s Monster.”
Isn’t that exactly why we need to hear Timothy’s Monster? Too hear a side of the band that hasn’t been touched upon for a while?
I for one hope they’ll finally play “President Block”, as it’s up there with the best songs that came out of the TM recordings, even though it’s not an original MP song. And YES, Bent! I’M that dude shouting for it at the end of every concert I’m at! LOL
It totally pisses him off sometimes, I think…
April 1, 2010 at 20:07 #16487Quote:Taken into account the current band, and the musical state they are in, having them play Timothy’s Monster feels kind of like many opportunities lost.Sorry Anders, this is quite silly.
a) Timmy isn’t any less epically sprawling than your beloved Demon Box and the latest records with the current line up.
b) Considering this, we can’t have the slightest idea what this current line up will make of it but…
c) …it WILL be amazing. If you’ll attend the show, you’ll be blown away crying. That’s the most obvious part of it all.
d) I can’t go godammit.
April 1, 2010 at 20:09 #16488This being a new ROADWORKS entry would be a dream.
April 3, 2010 at 10:22 #16489“It’s Timothy’s Monster, sire! It’s ALIVE I tell you!! ALIIIIIVE!!!!!”
April 4, 2010 at 15:44 #16490This is – by far – the best choice. For me their best album! I was a bit fed up with all the mega jamming during the last tour, so for me it would be heaven to attend that gig. But I won’t be able to go there. That said: Is anybody going to record this in the best possible way (might it be a Roadwork later or not). I am thinking about Anders and all the wonderful recordings he made for the community in the past years. Last time I talked to him at the Schlachthof in Bremen he told me, he got tired of taping. Such a shame!
Anders: I listen to your Amsterdam recording from the BH/BC tour still a LOT!
April 5, 2010 at 08:57 #16491Be: Øyafestivalen usually records the biggest concerts themselves, just like the Motorpsycho concert in 2006. So I guess it’s a huge possibility that we will get a great video with sound out of this. If you’re lucky they may stream the concert too.
April 5, 2010 at 09:26 #16492@Rattlesnake: They usually stream most of the stuff on NRKs website, they did with the 06 gig, and it’s possible to record the streams

April 13, 2010 at 23:27 #16494I wonder when they’ll play so I can get my day ticket for Timothy’s live. I bet Air will headline wednesday and Pavement thursday. My guess is that MP will headline friday or saturday as there’s not any obvious headliners those days. I really want to see Air and Pavement too, but don’t feel like spending more than one day at Øya, and Timothy is my priority this year.
April 15, 2010 at 19:26 #16495Air, Iggy and the Stooges, M.I.A., The Gaslight Anthem, Raekwon, Serena Maneesh, Shining and State Electric are all playing wednesday.
April 22, 2010 at 08:09 #16496Still no news on what day they´re playing?
