Moog!
October 19, 2011 at 18:34 #20504Two remarks:
1) The audience indeed was very, very annoying. Drunk ladies screaming Thank You in German all the time during VS's intro. Noisy audience throughout the whole set. I am standing always in from of the stage so I suppose I even am in the more 'silent' part…
2) Review of the gig (in German) at http://www.noz.de/lokales/58098072/motorpsycho-auf-tour-im-osnabruecker-rosenhof
October 19, 2011 at 21:36 #20505Nice review in OS press, same as I felt. Hannover is up on DIME…
Judge yourself…
October 21, 2011 at 18:24 #20506So, who was actually worse? The dutch crowd who according to the other thread was chatting all the time or the OS people?
I've also realized very chatty audiences at MP shows in the last years (Gebaeude9 in Koeln in 2010 (or 09?), f.ex.) but it hasn't always been like that. During my first MP shows in the late 90s I remember absolutely quiet crowds at MP gigs, even during the quiet parts of songs there was hardly any murmur! I guess it must have changed in the last couple of years…
Concerning the recent shows: the setlists really look great! I'm still a bit sad that I couldn't see any of the shows, especially 'cause I used to live in Hannover and Osnabrueck. I would have loved to see the guys there… My trouble is, I will very likely not be able to watch any shows in the near future since I'm living in Istanbul now. Which is a fantatsitic city all together, no doubt! Yet (western rock) concert-wise it's a deserted place… So, MP, if you consider conquering Asia, start here! People are enthusiastic about music, and I'd make sure to bring along anyone I consider capable of shutting their face for two hours of supreme live music!

October 28, 2011 at 08:40 #20512Anyone willing to share any of the recent shows in "non-torrent" way?

October 28, 2011 at 12:24 #20514What's with The Other One? is that a cover?

one "grateful dead" band after garcias dead called "the other one's", too.
October 28, 2011 at 13:00 #20516One of the best songs the Dead ever written. In the early 70s the song could
strech out as a jam-monster of 40 minutes! The song has a fantastic opening bass
line by Phil Lesh. Once I saw them in Eugene, OR 1994, this line let the concrete
of the stadium shiver!!!
Oh, and – btw – nice to see you all enjoyed my recordings…
October 28, 2011 at 14:08 #20517ah thanks for the head's up. I know close to nothing about the Grateful Dead. I've feebly tried to get into them a few times, though, but it's probably too much hippie jamming for me. At least what I've heard so far. Motorpsycho space out in a more adventurous manner with all (and only) three players involved, so I like it. But with the Dead I feel it's mostly the lead instruments noodling about forever while bass and drums pretty much keep to their duties. Oh and I stopped the dope about 15 years ago, maybe that would be helpful now.
Anyway, thanks for the recording, it's one of the best around I think.
