Nope, listen to Leipzig. bent doesn't say good evening until Bombproof even though it's the fourth song in. I thought that was strange. And no, I don't have Wien 08. I was hoping if I brought it up someone might pop up with it. Still my favorite MP show thogh Bielefeld was very good too. I only saw those 6 shows. Dusseldorf I think too Wien. Some of the best live-times ive had. What a trip. The last solid trip in life for me.
April 13, 2011 at 05:57 #19145Lol @ whowhooo @ 0:34 on Wishing Well
April 13, 2011 at 07:56 #19146Still don´t have my copy yet, but seeing now that the lovely Dresden version of Landslide is on it makes me really happy. And Haarlem 2009 might have been the best MP show I ever attended. So waiting gets even harder for me know.

I thought that was strange.Bent does say "good evening" in Leipzig before the first song "The Other Other Fool" and it's obviously edited and mixed to "Arne H" (6th song there) to start RW4. Can be determined by one fan's audible rrrrr-reaction during the bass' delay intro.
(or did I edit leipzig's running order once myself? i tend to do that sometimes….)
April 14, 2011 at 04:31 #19148I stand corrected. He does say it earlier in the evening at the beggining. Funny how closely we all listen to this stuff and yet still have various experiences with it. Cut in for tracking purposes I'm sure. Have to recant on Alchemyst too. Wasn't too thrilled originaly but am now just digging it. The version on RW 4, is it a stand alone or did it segue from semething else? That iller guitar sound it starts with, mon-o-man.
April 14, 2011 at 06:42 #19149If it indeed comes from Bremen 08, then it segued from Kill Devil Hills, according to http://motorpsycho.fix.no/comeonin/oldforums/read.php?4,50390
April 14, 2011 at 12:10 #19150got it. love it. nice to hear the chords of cornucopia after loneliness, reminds me a lot of that great night…
April 14, 2011 at 13:43 #19151Hippie crap!
I have been a fan for 15 years, but the noodeling just gets too much for me! Well, I will still go to every concert by MP in my area, but a few years back I have never been bored at a MP gig. These days, sometimes I am. I am gonna listen to the OYA-Timmy-performance much more than to 21 minutes of Bomb-Proof-Doodeling, I guess. Well, it's just taste.
April 14, 2011 at 14:08 #19152Well, maybe you are getting old! I havn`t heard any "noodeling" on any Motorpsyxho record or concert. The improvisation and droning parts are as intense and beautiful as always and after 15 years you should know that.
April 14, 2011 at 14:10 #19153I am definetely getting old!
April 14, 2011 at 15:14 #19154There was more noodling about ten years ago when MP californicated to hippiedom. It got me worried a bit. I'd say this has mostly gone but nowadays I miss something else though: The delicacy of their songwriting and -playing. They're the massive droning onslaught machine today and seem to urge most songs into this formula. But hey, the KDH/Alchemyst combo on RWIV does floor me.
April 14, 2011 at 20:06 #19155Trapped in the wishing well, and loving every minute of it :MPD:
Plus the last 3 songs are starting to grow on me. Really loving the album!
PS; There can never be enough "noodling"
April 15, 2011 at 04:28 #19156Remember "Spacewash"? Anyway. Don't if this has come up yet.
Was there a famous baseball player that wore the number 45?
Only Bob Gibson comes to mind… he might be the most dominant starting pitcher of all time.
Don't know if that's who it is. Not sure who Bob Gibson is. I'll take Randy Johnson as the most dominant.
April 15, 2011 at 08:14 #19157Aaah, I saw Randy pitch for the Yankees in NYC once – so strong…
and the Rocket Clements was pretty good too
April 15, 2011 at 11:36 #19158One man's improvisation is another man's noodeling!
I am not altogether against noodeling (btw the Wishing Well Version is very good!), but for example two years ago in Hamburg a lot of songs were brought almost to a complete stop, stripped apart and a rocker like Hogwash suddenly had – to me – boring parts and so on. And "supernaut" I am also glad they left that phase behind!
