Thank You. I’m not into Spidergawd, so I wasn’t aware. I’m going to update my old comment.
May 9, 2025 at 14:01 #44408While the first recorded shows are coming in via DIME, only one or two are available on archive.org. This may have a few understandable reasons:
1. Tapers still on tour
2. Time required for careful editing and posting on the common
uploaders
3. Complicated and very slow upload on archive orgPeople like myself have contributed to raise expectations for the archive, but after recognizing especially point 3 have not yet come around to uploading. This is understandable, but should be dealt with.
My suggestion: Do not rely on people who manage the gathering of recordings and uploads on DIME and Motortrades such as Spacebandit and Stadtfelder to upload anything onto the archive – they’re doing a great job already and invest lots of their time. So let’s share efforts and start work ourselves.
If everybody who gets a quick and free download of one or several of this years’ concerts on DIME or Motortrades undertakes to upload at least one gig on archive.org, we will surely make progress there. This will take a little time – let’s wait, till the tour is over, probably one or two weeks more, and then: Action!
(and I have to remind myself to put some effort behind my long words…)May 9, 2025 at 21:00 #44411I second that. I am one of the uploaders (Stadtfelder) and I have many more raw recordings to master and upload.
I like the idea of the archive.org but I have to take care that I will not reach the “too much is too much” point. I am not sure if I have to remove the blanks in the torrent title.
Is it possible to name it “mp 2025-05-05” or do I have to erase the blanks “mp2025-05-05”?
It is the same with the titles. I write “01 – Intro”. Is the correct version “01Intro” on live.archive (without any blanks)?
Anyone who already knows how to upload is welcome to upload any of my recordings. My recording from Dresden 2022 has already been uploaded by someone else and I approve that.
July 9, 2025 at 08:23 #44676I just listened to the amazing “Live at Cirque Royal on 2006-05-07” recording – what a show! Unfortunately the first song is missing – a 30 minute Un Chien apparently.
It would be fantastic if someone here could post the missing track (or the complete show)! Cheers.https://archive.org/details/mp2006-05-07

July 9, 2025 at 16:18 #44678The Brussels 2006 K9 was included in what i call the ‘Oyvind MP3s’.
These were the mp3 files for 5 songs recorded during the spring 2006 tour that were posted on Oyvind’s website as some sort of cultural study of music – maybe somebody recalls the details and can provide a much more respectful description. These appear to be soundboard recordings, but mp3 format only.
Any idea if these can be shared through the archive?

October 12, 2025 at 21:54 #44845I was just listening to the awesome recording of the Vera, Groningen gig. I have very fond memories of the evening. Lots of highlights but the first song I put on was the incredible cover of Edgar Broughton Band’s Love in the Rain with Reine in vocals. So, so, so cool. Madman Reine.
November 27, 2025 at 15:06 #44961I’ve added the missing Un Chien D’Espace to the Live at Cirque Royal on 2006-05-07 show.
I’ve also added a bunch of other recording.
I still have about 50 more to add
November 27, 2025 at 16:29 #44962@ Blashyrkh: Thanks a lot for your efforts! Finally somebody to relieve Pietro Alfe from stocking up the MP Archive (mostly) all alone!
@ all: Was about to post this for a while, but didn’t because I didn’t get around myself to uploading anythin on archive.org. Nevertheless I think we shouldn’t leave all the work to one or two persons alone and join in upoloading.
The 2025 tour is now well documented, but lots of older stuff remain either hidden and now unreachable as dead torrents on DIME and Motortrades or on various hard discs. I do not want to pester these two or three main suppliers for the torrent sites to undergo the Archive upload procedure, but maybe they could make their vast collection accessable to a few ready for that task. Who’s in for it? Pietro already does a lot of work, but we could do with another two or three people regularly (once a week?) uploading stuff, now that touring’s long over and winter is coming in. Volunteers?December 1, 2025 at 11:52 #44971No problem at all. I have quite a lot from the early 2000s and 90s. I’ll keep uploading them.
Just uploaded this one:
https://archive.org/details/mp2002-11-18What an awesome early version of Close Your Eyes
December 1, 2025 at 12:03 #44972@Blashyrkh: Yeah, I prefer all live versions of Close Your Eyes to the studio version.
Same concert also has a great cover of Macca’s Maybe I’m Amazed with Baard on lead vocs.
December 1, 2025 at 19:29 #44974I remember Close Your Eyes as probably the ultimate high point of Motorpsycho’s Unicorn gig at Stollwerck Cologne 2012. While the actual Unicorn went a bit under (no breaks between numbers, lacking in dynamic variability, not the best sound, packed hall, stuff still new and thus low recognisability), the encores did it for me. While I couldn’t first identify CYE, it wound its way perfectly through my ears down to my solar plexus. An excellent live number to end any MP set.
