@KLCK
If you think only releasing music on a format a small portion of the music listening public use is not excluding I think our discussion is gone from CD vs vinyl to semantics.
From Merriam Webster
Exclude:1 a : to prevent or restrict the entrance of b : to bar from participation, consideration, or inclusion.
And those cracks and pops on the mp3, we have excellent software to remove those now.

Some people don’t want to listen to vinyl, they want to listen to the songs.
And to argue that something isn’t excluding because you can buy it is silly.
Would you argue that releasing a movie only on the superior Blu-Ray format was not excluding? Certianly anyone can buy a Blu-Ray player and enjoy the movie.
For me getting Blu-Ray capability would certainly cost less then a vinyl player.
I’m not arguing against vinyl. Vinyl is a great music format. But CD is also a great (although slightly soulless) music format. I feel that nobody would lose if both formats and digital distribution was supported.
Your post was a good argument for vinyl, but not a good argument for vinyl only. The essence I get about CD is that since you don’t like it, nobody should have it .
August 13, 2009 at 19:19 #13390It’s very sad that in a Community of fans like this, there’s no one that want shares his magnificent works of ripping…
I really don’t understand.
We are ALL fans, and I wish “friend”.
sorry for my stupid topic.
August 13, 2009 at 22:34 #13391AnonymousIt’s very loyal from a community of fans of Motorpsycho not to spread a album of the band in the internet, i think. One week and still no leak? Great-!
August 14, 2009 at 01:04 #13392yes, that is great. no one here would have a leak at piratebay or
rapidshare or so I think
but it seems no one buy this album besides us fans.
in germany they are on position ~1000
that’s very bad and the other side of vinyl only.
all the latest albums were in germany in the top hundred.
but maybe, it’s made for us fans specialy
August 16, 2009 at 10:06 #13393Hey psychonauts!
This morning I was able to download the COTF LP using Soulseek P2P software (http://easy-download-network.com/soulseek/) at 320 bitrate. So someone leaked Gonna buy i anyway at one of their coming gigs but at least I can listen to it now.
Looking forward to see them in Deventer on November 15th!
August 16, 2009 at 10:37 #13394But the registration cost so much…
MrKreukel what kind of contract do you do?
…Can link it up in rapidshare…
please…
August 16, 2009 at 10:59 #13395You can get soulseek for free here
I know I did! What you get there for free, on the other hand, is another thing.
Guess I’m going to get to listen to this album finally.. Then order the LP and schmack it on my wall to get my karma back..
August 16, 2009 at 11:03 #13396does it work with Mac os?
…and it’s not free, after enteriing my mail adress, it’s give me 3 choices of contract… 2 dollas for month… etc etc…
on step 3 it’ request my credit card…
please give me a link or put it on emule, it’s more simple…
August 16, 2009 at 11:24 #13397This is strange. I never paid for Soulseek. I use it for some years already but can’t remember I had to pay for it.
Perhaps I gave the wrong link, look at http://www.slsknet.org/ and that definitely is the Soulseek I use. Although the software logo is exactly identical to the link I gave earlier today, apparently the download is not for free. Amazing.
Anyway, for MacOS X (my other laptop is a Macbook but it is paid by my work so I do not put download software on it) is a beta version of Soulseek called SoulSeeX 1.0b6, check out http://soulseex.en.softonic.com/mac . However, it has not been updated for a long time. And like I said, I am not using it on my Apple so I can not tell you whether it works or not.
August 16, 2009 at 11:38 #13398Soulseex works perfeclty but I can’t find COTF… I find other MP albums, Bob dylan and necromantix… but nothing COTF…
August 16, 2009 at 11:41 #13399I really don’t think this forum should be used to promote the mp3s. Not at all.
If they’re out there (booo!) then so be it, but go someplace else to look for them.
So get a room you two and deal with it!
August 16, 2009 at 17:51 #13400Well, I am so damned sorry… If so many people are desperately hoping for a digitalized version and all will buy the LP anyhow, I do not get the point of not telling them how. They’re all MP fans anyway otherwise they do not post here in the forum. Making other MP fans happy with how to get a hand on a digitalized version of this excellent LP for their PC or iPod is OK then, I thought.
Anyway, guess the guys will release COTF on CD somewhere in time I expect.
Lets stop the discussion now.
August 16, 2009 at 18:29 #13401I would like to thank Mr.Kreukel & CaptainAubrey for the tip!
Next week I’m of to Dublin and I’m going to fill the few moments on my own listening to Child Of The Future on my MP3 player.
Then when I’m back in Holland I will go and buy the album + tickets for Haarlem and Deventer.
Vinyl still rules but MP3 comes very handy on the road.
p.s. I heard from the owner of my favourite recordshop that the next MP album will include a extra cd. COTF?
Did somebody heard anything about that deal?
