Italian item trailing Morborock:
May 16, 2024 at 11:19 #42787So fun to see all my Morborock friends in the video here on the forum. Most of those you see are psychonauts. In particular Valentina, with whom I played for a long time and the wife of Michele, the main organizer of the line-ups, with whom I shared the first motorpsycho concerts at the end of the 90s!
I really hope that many psychonauts will come to see MP here in this occasion to sustain this small association that made this possibile.May 20, 2024 at 23:51 #42791Hip Hip Hooray for the MorboRock guys who planned this event.
I will be there, impossible to miss my band in this year tour too!
What a surprise shall be the track list…hoping they choose songs from the singles list!
For the MorboRock guys, see you there, hope to meet and greet you for this wonderful opportunity.
Ciao!May 21, 2024 at 01:19 #42792I’ve had some fun making some 50-minute setlists. There’s my sweet dream of A-sides/video singles – which will never happen (and “Home Of The Brave” is stretching it, but it was a live single in Japan), there’s a killer set of B-sides (which in some ways would be more exciting than the A’s), there’s my worst nightmare, and then there’s my best guess, which is a predictable “lowest odds”-setlist:
50 minutes: Sweet Dream
Home Of The Brave
Ozone
> Starmelt / Lovelight
Serpentine
The Quick Fix
Sideway Spiral II
> Grinder
> Politician
Psychonaut50 minutes: Killer B’s
Up Our Sleeves
Loaded
> I.C.U. (Boinganoid)
Fleshharrower (feat. Deathprod)
Silver Dollar Forger
KR-3 [Parts 1+2]
> Sterling Says
The House At Pooneil Corners
> Black To Comm50 minutes: Worst Nightmare
The Slow Phase Out
Toys
Walkin’ With J
> Go To California
Wearing Yr Smell
Another Ugly Tune
Shock Me
Now It’s Time To Skate
> X-mastime Is Here50 Minutes: Lowest Odds
The Nerve Tattoo
Go To California
Starmelt / Lovelight
Hyena
Psycholab
The Other Fool
Hey, Jane
Nothing To Say

May 21, 2024 at 09:36 #42796@Devotional: As much as I love that Killer B’s set, 4 cover songs is way too many for a 50 minute hit single set
Lowest odds set is most likely, and I honestly wouldn’t mind it. But you have to take into consideration that Tons of Rock is a festival veering most into hard-rock/metal territory. So Go to California and The Other Fool might be way too soft in those circumstances.
It would be cool if they did something similar to the Quart ’96 gig where they ‘protested’ against being put on a metal stage by playing their heaviest tracks in then current repertoire. Or maybe they’ll protest by playing their absolute softest hits LOL
I honestly don’t have many expectations for this one. As long as I get some sing-along hits along with a couple obscure surprises, I’ll be more than happy
May 21, 2024 at 18:21 #42797Festivals are simple: just play your most known and easy going tracks. And make it fast and furious.
May 21, 2024 at 23:17 #42798@Devotional: I couldn’t resist having a crack. I have put together a setlist which is a combination of hope and expectation. I believe everything here qualifies. It has turned out to be very Gebhardt-era heavy. I thought about pacing, where songs should fit into the set and spacing out Snah’s songs. I tried not to look too closely at your lists beforehand but I now see that my setlist contains everything in your lowest odds set except The Nerve Tattoo. I have probably cheated because I expect my set could not really be done in 50 minutes. (It would have to be a very quick trip up the Mountain!) I have no covers in my set but I expect one or two will turn up. Anyway, here goes!
Sinful/Wind-Borne
Starmelt/Lovelight
Blueberry Daydream
Serpentine
Manmower
Mountain
Hyena
Go to California
Hey, Jane
Feel
Psycholab
Nothing to Say
Walking on the Water (You Lied)May 22, 2024 at 13:16 #42799Myself, I’m wishing for just one thing, and it’s a well. They play that, and I go home happy. (Just kidding, if I manage to see them I’m sure I’ll be happy in any case.)
May 22, 2024 at 15:26 #42800Wishing Well? Good call. The Roadworks version is one of their finest moments – and one of my first go-tos if I want to try and convince anyone about this band.
May 22, 2024 at 19:31 #42801Yeah, it’s been my #1 wish for a few years, this singles concept got my hopes up a little but I’m afraid that the only date that’s close to me (Morbegno) will come too soon, when they’re not yet into the new “mode” completely. I’m convinced they’ll unearth it sooner or later though.
May 23, 2024 at 09:19 #42802I’m with suntripper (for a change), but I’m old-fashioned…
May 23, 2024 at 11:37 #42803As long as they play Flick Of The Wrist, I’m a happy chappy.
May 23, 2024 at 13:59 #42804As I’m not the biggest fan of the retro singles project, I’ve got no special expectations. Probably that’s better this way.
I think they had to do it to mark another creative hiatus in the long and winding band history. Time to think, collect new ideas and probably new musicians. And have a little fun on the side.
“The house at Pooneil Corners” would make me a very happy Psychonaut though!May 25, 2024 at 08:21 #42805Radiance Freq….. i would go to a concert if they announce a 2 hour version of just this one song :D … but then.. it never was a single track

May 25, 2024 at 10:27 #42807@ dongonz: RF could become a “single” track this way: As the next “Roadwork” on 3 vinyl discs ;-)
