Yes, Tivoli is closing. Its new incarnation will be "TivoliVredenburg," a mostly new construction. The old Vredenburg (where the motors played a fest in '04) downtown has been incorporated into a multi-storey building that will house concert halls of various sizes, a restaurant, a cafe, workshop spaces.

You can get an idea here. Looks a bit like the Centre de Congres in Reims (FR).

Oh that's a shame, sad news even I like the Tivoli very much (besides chatty audience) and had some great nights there … may mp have an invite for a long and strong goodbye! Count me in for that!!

B.t.w. it is the last gig in Doornroosje in Nijmegen in the old venue as well. A new Doornroosje will be opened in September/October near the station. Modern too. Also the end of an era…
