Hi there! I recently bought Child of the Future (for the second time) from Stickman (Re-Press 2015), 'cause i thought it has been remastered by Deathprod, but it has the same muffy sound as the first edition and is on white vinyl as well.
Anyone of you heard the new edition from RuneGrammofon on clear vinyl? Does it have the better (more edgy) mastering as on Cornucopia from Super Sonic Scientists..?
By the way, if anyone of you is still missing "Roadwork Vol. 2" on vinyl, Stickman has it back in store.. They had "The Visitant (7") as well, but this seems to be sold out again.
I always thought this was just a re-press and not remastered version. There is nothing on the Rune Grammofon site that's indicate different except for vinyl colour.
Is the re-press identical with the 2009 version. Same matrix, cover, insert?
@gandalf37: Yes, It's exactly the same. Same barcode, same matrix number on vinyl, same colour, same insert (Poster) etc. Too bad, i was hoping for an update on this fine gem… The remaster of Cornucopia sounds so damn great on Super Sonic Scientists!
Well, I'm happy not having to pay 70 euros for it then
Oooops, i also thought that this reissue would be a remastered version. otherdemon wrote something in the SUPERSONIC SCIENTISTS thread a few weeks ago about it.

Actually Arturo I have some news for you: In one of the essays in the new Supersonic Scientists book (the one by Johan Harstad) it's actually hinted that all future re-presses of COTF will be entirely remastered. Bent also expresses dissatisfaction with the original mastering, that it didn't come out sounding exactly like they wanted to (basically Blissard part 2)
So i am glad that you mention that now Koolbassplayer because i wanted to order the reissue as well. The muffled sound of COTF is one of the greatest motorpsychodelic mysteries to me …
After listening to the Deathprod remaster i toyed a bit round with Audacity. Took my vinyl rip and made my own "trebleboost" remaster. Sounds different to the Deathprod one (naturally, hehe) but better to my ears than the original mix. My own version is now my to go version.
