HMF is growing on me, but I´m still undecided on how I feel about some songs.
Especially this version of Close Your Eyes. The song was one of my favorite live, when they played it, and I had really hoped that they nailed it on this record, but rather I feel like laughing when that song starts. Is it me or is it me?

It’s you.
It starts out nice enough, reminds me of early Queen but I can’t say why. A delicate build up in the middle. Which does not mold into a big bombast ending as one might expect but simply disintegrates. And funnily enough, at first full HMF run through that song pleased me the most.
Before the release, when the tracklist was revealed and some of the preview articles were posted I was surprised to se Close Your Eyes cut down to such a short length. But I think it provides a nice – and necessary – breather between the otherwise more excessive material on the record.
Besides, I think we can safely assume that they will stretch it out a bit more live.
