During the Magnolia concert from the HBM tour, Bent introduced the song saying "This song is about a guy and his kayak…you know, that…paddling thing"
@Arturo Bandini, that intro is named "Electric Psalmon" and is also used on The Death Defying Unicorn album.
@Blashyrkh, never noticed that before but you are right, sounds similar. But nonetheless the intro from Starhammer reminds me of "Am Fenster". Check it out. :wink:

While listening to Let Them Eat Cake, in just the right altered state last night, I noticed another musical reference. The opening of Whip That Ghost makes musical reference to the opening of the(short version of the) brilliant Billy Cobham instrumental Stratus.
Just listen to the first ten seconds of "River" by Gentle Giant:

River is 6/8 and Ship of Fools is 7/8 but other than that it's really similar to me. And the connections ship/octopus/river seems to be quite typically Motorpsychic tongue-in-cheek
