Motorpsycho will play 15 concerts under the direction of national concerts next year. Large and small cities all over southern Norway will be visited by the band.
Together with the experimental jazzband Supersilent shall Motorpsycho on a tour where the goal is to challenge themselves and to surprise the audience.
-We have plans that extend beyond six months, but this tour is the only long schedule we have, “says bassist Bent Sæther in Motorpsycho
And we really look forward to cooperation, “says drummer Kenneth Kapstad.

“We have received about 25 inquiries from interested promoters, but has chosen to scale it down to 15 Tour program is not locked yet, so it is too early to say what other locations will be selected, but both Grong, Steinkjer and Oppdal is signed, in addition to cities and places in South-Eastern and Western Norway. Northern Norway can not visit us this time, “says Rishaug.
Thinking again
Motorpsycho-Why?
-Because they are a rock band that ever thinking again and that challenge themselves in what they do. This tour, which starts in March next year, is a spliced together expressions of Motorpsycho and Super Silent, and with lots of visual means through video. Artists will meet three days before the Tour and have samples. We were initially interested in that they should write some new music together, but they would not. Instead, they would meet and improvise their own ideas. There is hardly a standard Motorpsycho concert of this. Or maybe it is just that.
Challenged
-I have worked with genre transboundary productions for Rikskonsertene for five years now, and the intention behind this tour is that the bands will be challenged musically to do something they otherwise would not have done, “says Rishaug.
Rikskonsertene has a music policy goal as well, namely to present improvisasjonsmusikk and experimental music to a wider audience than they would have received by sending Supersilent out on tour alone. And for all who purchase tickets will get exactly the same production, set Rikskonsertene with all of the technique and stage equipment.
-We take a little extra spending to secure the production as a whole and have a good scene, instead of handing responsibility for it to the local organizers, “says Alexander Rishaug.
