Discord server for discussions

I think it is supposed to be open, does it work? Curious how bad the spam/abuse problems are on this platform, I have never used it.

Hi Vegard,

thanks for the effort. I just tried the link and it didn't really work out. First, I was asked to chose my Username, then I had to verify my account with an email address. That didn*t seem to be enough because after doing so I was asked to give my phone number for further verification, which I didn't.

So either discord requires a lot more registration and stuff which I`m not used to or the system doesn't really work well (with me) (yet).

But since I, too, felt the cold turkey yesterday, I'll eventually follow this forum wherever it might go.

Edit: Just tried the link again and got the message that the invitation is invalid.

I already had a Discord account, so joining the server was easy-peasy and it works.

However, I'm not sure if Discord really fits the kind of discussions we have here.

Instant chit-chat should work well, but when it comes to like setlists, new albums etc,

I think maybe Discord comes up a bit short.

However, I'm willing to give it a try. Should make some separate channels for various subjects.
