Thank for the reviews, interesting report Anders. It might be that with the ongoing of the tour, the “musical weight” is going to change direction Superpsycho (cheers Thomas ;-) The ticket prices are tough!

about the prices: remember there are two bands on stage…;-)

Any news on the second night of the tour? I wonder in how far venues, Cities or audience will influence the given performances… Might be that a rather big “rock” place like Rockefeller makes mp feel more at ease taking the lead on their “journey” towards the end of the tour… tempting.

I decided to drop the expensive Tønsberg gig after the disappointing Drammen gig. That is why you see no report from me, sorry.

Looking forward to the HMF tour more than ever!

Ah, I see – I thought you had already booked your tickets (…) – good then you did not, family is important (and we will meet in May ;)

Last evening I attended the Motorpsycho+Supersilent gig in Fredrikstad. I was not disappointed. Generally speaking it was a 1h 50min long jam without breaks, ranging from very quiet to extreme noise and the good old “wall of sound”. The soundscapes created were sometimes really magic and the extreme buildup in the finishing song was fantastic and giving me the good old goose bumps. The dynamics of the gig was as I stated before, extreme, like huge waves washing onto shore. They also managed to add the whole of “The Bomb-Proof Roll and Beyond” from HMF (containing a great Snah jam!) and a part from the LLM suite (very cool and intens build up and ending, and a cool merge with the following theme). The sound was good, but WAY too loud. My ears are still ringing. The music was also very nicely accompanied with a cool light show. A net hanging down in front of stage was used as a transparent canvas for projecting images and light effects. Really cool. I definitely recommend this to any Motorpsycho fan. But,of course, it’s not a Motorpsycho concert. Those are yet to come.

              cheers

              Gustav

Interesting piece in Ballade by Knut Schreiner.

Thanks for the report Gusse, seems like they are taking a nice direction including more mp-stuff into the jams. Every night will be different anyway ;-)

                  could someone translate this please:

Og så er de i gang. I kjølig blått lys legger trommis Kenneth Kapstad sporadiske klubbeslag på rungende tom tom-trommer. Det er som å komme rett inn i det dynamiske høydepunktet på en Pink Floyd-konsert på midten av 1970–tallet.

Men i kveld blir det ingen forløsning i form av en ”Money” eller ”Wish you were here”.

And then they’re at it. In cool blue light, drummer KK puts sporadic hits on his triumphant(?) tom-toms. It’s like being in the dynamic climax of a Pink Floyd-concert mid-70ies. But tonight there are no delivery in form of a “Money” or “Wish You Were Here”

…hanging on to the trip you're on since 1994
