Having discovered MP late in the game, prob about 2011, I have been taking time lately to dig into older shows with fresh ears. I am working at home and listening to live shows on proper audio gear. It's been great.
I would love to note some observations, and I wonder if the gig discussion feature on the MPDB is going to be a thing. I'm not seeing any engagement so far. What do people think? For example, the Heartattack Mac > I'm Waiting for the Man from Reutlingen 1998 is insane.
Hi bionaut, at this moment almost no one is using the discussion feature on MPDB. I was not sure if I want to implement it or not because everyone is used to use this forum. I've added the feature just as a simple "test".
If really no one uses it, I'm probably going to delete this feature and maybe use that "space" for some other interesting info about that gig.
But If you want to use it, please be my guest
Another idea on mine is, that MPDB automatically grabs the forum content and shows all the posts of a specific gig under the gig on MPDB. But I can only do that with the new gig, not the older ones.
From now on all the posts on this forum from the gigs are added beneath each gig on the database. This way all the "insights" from the gig can be found on the setlist page. Example: https://mpdb.space/gig/2020/10/24/trondheim-verkstedhallen-10/.
Only the newest gigs are added at this moment. So in this case the latest 3 Trondheim gigs.

I have some spare time… are there any feature requests for the mpdb.space database? Or maybe some stuff that bothers you layout-wise?
I've noticed in the other topic that some people didn't have access to mpdb.space.
I've checked it and approved all these account to the website. Normally you should have access with your username (or email) and password. If not, please ask here.
