Does anyone know the origins of the iconic Motorpsycho font? I always thought it was custom made, but then I stumbled upon a record by Montana Sextet – Heavy Vibes from 1982, which clearly is using the same font.
Check it out on discogs:

Label:Virgin – VS-560-12
As far as I understand, that font was first used by Motorpsycho on the Soothe EP, on which Motorpsycho and Roger Aasegg are credited (on the non metal box, Guttorm Nordbø is credited).
I have tried to run fontfinders based on pictures, but with no results. Are there anyone who can fill in on this topic? Other examples of usage of the same font?

According to Johan Harstad in his book Blissard: En bok om Motorpsycho (A Book About Motorpsycho) the original name logo was made using a Letraset sheet with this font. Apparently Bent found it while working in the university library and cut and pasted it together and copied it on a good old copier (the world was still pretty analogue back when it was made!).
Babylon Industrial is a free font that is very similar
