October 27, 2023 at 13:43 #42183Quote from the Alta Live homepage:
– For første gang har Motorpsycho bestemt seg for å skreddersy et karriereomfavnende festivalsett bestående utelukkende av låter som har vært utgitt som singler.
Something similar written on the Tons of Rock homepage.
So hits galore, it isOctober 27, 2023 at 14:45 #42184Oh yes, give me some golden oldies please

The Bergenfest gig is composed of only songs that have been released as singles. (See their instagram).November 13, 2023 at 16:17 #42331So, anyone up for the task of collecting all their singles in a (set)list here?
Must say a singleshow is a wild idea, but if that’s what it takes to get them to completely shake up their setlist, I’m not complaining.
November 13, 2023 at 19:47 #42335Cool! There’s a “singles” tab when you scroll a bit here: https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/motorpsycho
Curious if they’ll actually do that. Can’t imagine they’d play stuff like Ulv Ulv, X-Mastime is here or 3 Songs For Rut, haha!
November 13, 2023 at 20:57 #42336Looking at the list, it is possible for MP to cheat a bit (the 3 singles containing the entirety of AADAP come to mind )
But honestly, being one of the least nostalgic bands ever, I think they deserve to cash in on doing a “greatest hits” set. As long as they do it properly and don’t half-ass it.
November 13, 2023 at 22:04 #42338Good chance for The Slow Phaseout.
November 13, 2023 at 23:02 #42343I suppose these might be possible, then:
Into the Sun
Leave It Like That
Mad Sun
Sinful, Wind-Borne
Go to California
The Slow Phase Out
X-3 (Knuckleheads In Space)
The Visitant
Toys
Psychonaut
Spin, Spin, Spin
Ulv Ulv
RockbottomAnd I assume they won’t exclude title tracks from EPs:
Mountain
Wearing Yr Smell
The Nerve Tattoo
Manmower
Starmelt/Lovelight
Ozone
Hey, Jane
The Other Fool
Walkin’ With J
SerpentineI’m sure they will still surprise
November 13, 2023 at 23:33 #42344I would love to see Have Fun as well on that setlist, even though 3 Songs for Rut (obviously) has no title track. (Actually, my dream scenario is they do a festival set containing nothing but B-sides: «Oh, sorry, did you say ‘released as singles’? We thought that was ‘released ON singles’ …»)

November 14, 2023 at 00:22 #42348But do they count the songs that only had music videos, but no single releases?
If so, then songs like these are possible as well:
Grinder
Have Fun
Nothing To Say
Sheer Profoundity
Another Ugly Tune
Feel
Now It’s Time To Skate
Watersound
High Time
On A Plate
Hell Pt.7
W.C.AAnd Hyena, In Our Tree, The Same Old Rock, The Waning and Patterns are singles as well.
And if we really wanna get technical, all of the Motorpnakotic Manuscripts were singles as well
November 15, 2023 at 10:30 #4235514-15.06.2024 NO Vervenfestivalen, Horten
