Some years ago, in 2004, I think, the Norwegian music program Lydverket (NRK, a Norwegain TV channel) was about Motorpsycho and their Japan tour. I’d love to watch it! Unfortunately I didn’t watch it fully when it was aired, just the beginning of it. I wasn’t into Motorpsycho’s music back then but for one reason or another I remember the tv program so I guessed it made an impression on me. And now I’m a big fan of Motorpsycho.
I’ve been looking for it on NRK’s website but it’s not for streaming anymore so I have to download it. But I can’t find it, even thought I’ve searched on several torrent sites. Does anyone know where I can download it? If not, does anybody have it and don’t mind sending it to me? I’d really appreciate it . Thank you.
For the record: The last record I bought was Child of the Future. I have most of Motorpsycho’s albums on CD and some on LP. I have bought them. But this time I can’t buy the documentary so I have to download it, since there are no other options.
September 24, 2009 at 10:32 #13668A quick Youtube-search (motorpsycho japan):

I’ve never seen the full clip myself, unfortunately. These are just short cuts.
September 24, 2009 at 14:16 #13669It’s a shame really! NRK had both the Japan documentary and the one where they go through all their albums from Maiden Voyage to It’s a Love Cult in their entrety on their Web-TV stream. But sadly, they’ve removed the Japan one, and shortened the Album one into 3,5 minutes. I don’t understand why, since they still got alot of other old crap on there which should have been deleted years and years ago…!
September 24, 2009 at 19:45 #13670I agree with GBD, it’s really a shame!
The one where they went through all the albums was very good.
Have anyone tried to get in contact with NRK and asked them to put it back on for streaming? The files are probably on a backup server somewhere, shouldn’t be too much hassle…
September 25, 2009 at 17:51 #13671Sounds like a challenge! I can try!
Edit: I’ve tried. I sent an e-mail to NRK just this minute. I’ll keep you informed when (if) i get a response!
September 28, 2009 at 10:45 #13672Ok so i got a response from NRK ->
“Hei!
Takk for henvendelsen.
NÃ¥r opptaket er fjernet fra NRK Nett-tv er det fordi vi ikke har rettigheter til Ã¥ la dette ligge ute lengre. “
In english; “When the recording is removed from NRK Web-Tv, it’s because we don’t have the rights to keep it online any longer.”
It might seem like it’s MP themselves who are responsible for removing the clips from the Web-Tv. Probably because of some contract issue. Who knows. So as far as those clips go, i don’t think we can expect any help from NRK.
Bummer!
September 29, 2009 at 19:05 #13673I found both those videos online in acceptable VCD quality. I think I still have the links.
Here they are

If this is against this Forums rules I apologize.
But if NRK doesn’t have the rights to stream it any more, and MP could not or would not include this on Haircuts it’s not hurting anyone economically at least.
September 29, 2009 at 21:34 #13674Cool, thanks a lot!
September 30, 2009 at 00:12 #13675..and when all hope seemed lost, a temporary account appeared from nowhere and saved the day!!
Thanks man!
September 30, 2009 at 06:50 #13676Thx a lot for the Japan Tour link! You rock dude!
September 30, 2009 at 10:31 #13677I think it was more a case of space on the discs than anything else. Both films(Japan/This is) was made by Kjetil Solhøi, but maybe the last tone was financed by NRK. The reason could also be that the agreement for publishing on the net was ended. I don’t know the spesifics in the publishingagreement that NRK has
September 30, 2009 at 16:34 #13678thank you so so supermuch!
October 1, 2009 at 00:16 #13679There is at least enough room left on the second disc of Haircuts to cram in the presentation of the releases. And I think most would prefer the Japan doc over the alternate cut of “This is Motorpsycho”.
I’m not sure that NRK financing the Japan doc would stop it from the DVD. They allowed Nothing to Say. Maybe they required payment per minute?
October 1, 2009 at 05:46 #13680Thanks for sharing, Temporary!
October 1, 2009 at 06:31 #13681If you use stuff from NRK you have to pay pr minute. I don’t know the rates but I have heard NOK 3000. That goes without saying the Japan doku would be a lot more expensive. As for space I heard it from Frode Dreier that they had to cut out some stuff due to lack of space. What, I don’t know. As it beeing taken down from the NRK site, I know podkast with music has to be taken down after a while (month??). If I meet anyone related I can enquire. Maybe there is a space for the docu in Bent’s masterplan. You never know!
