Roadworks Overview
Roadworks is a community feature on mpdb.no that lets you build your own custom live releases from individual clip posts. Instead of just browsing separate videos, you can curate them into a personal “Roadwork” album with its own title, artwork, description, track order, runtime, and public release page.
It is designed to feel like creating a fan-made live album from the clips archive. You can search through available clips, pick the performances you want, arrange them in the order that feels right, preview the visual cover, and then publish the result as a shareable release for other members to discover. Each published Roadwork becomes part of the community archive, where people can open it, see the cover, read the description, view the track list, and play through the clips in sequence from start to finish.
You can access the already made Roadwork album throught a separate block on the homepage > Community section.
How To Use It
1. Open the Roadwork Studio page. Go to your profile in the navigation and click Roadwork. That opens the Roadwork Studio.
2. Enter a title for your release.
3. Add a short description, this will be shown on the cover right below the title.
4. You can also add a longer description if you want to add extra information about your release.
4. Optionally paste an external artwork image URL if you want a custom cover.
5. Choose whether you want to use the MP mask overlay.
6. If you do not use custom artwork, select one of the fallback artwork styles.
7. Search for clips by song title.
8. Select the clips you want to include.
9. Drag the selected clips into the order you want.
10. Preview the sleeve to see how your release cover looks.
11. When everything looks right, publish the Roadwork. After publishing, your Roadwork appears in the public archive. Other members can open it, play the clips in sequence, and like it.
Important: There is currently a limit of 3 Roadwork albums per user.
April 3, 2026 at 13:00 #45395Mmm I just tried publishing one, and it did not show up. After clicking “publish roadwork, it went back to the homepage, and nothing was saved or published.
April 3, 2026 at 13:13 #45396Hmm that’s bizar.
