Spidergawd have a new release coming up and a new video from my favourite record shop.
October 6, 2023 at 23:49 #41897Lovely video. The lady reminds me of Agnetha in SOS.
November 19, 2023 at 22:47 #42385November 20, 2023 at 01:10 #42388Having worked in the most hippest coolest record store in my hometown in my snobby twenties myself I find this Spidergawd clip hilariously brilliant. Nowadays I’d be the dinosaur guy
November 20, 2023 at 02:04 #42389Indeed a very entertaining video. But no BÖC album?
December 1, 2023 at 21:53 #42428Giant Sky (Motorpsycho’s prog/post-rock neighbours) released their 2nd album today:
https://giantskyband.bandcamp.com/album/giant-sky-iiDecember 3, 2023 at 00:48 #42429Funny Spidergawd Clip. But they sound like everybody else these days – mainstream stuff. Nothing to dwell on acoustically…
December 8, 2023 at 18:15 #42450The Chronicles of Father Robin is a side project from the guys of Samuel Jackon 5 and Wobbler.
They have 3 LP coming out this year, the second released today. For anyone digging the folk and prog sides of Motorpsycho, you might like this.fatherrobin.bandcamp.com/track/ocean-traveller

Probably, their strongest to date.March 14, 2024 at 22:53 #42613Full Earth – 2024 – Cloud Sculptors
https://fullearth.bandcamp.com/album/cloud-sculptors“Cloud Sculptors is the debut album of the experimental Oslo based rock-quintet Full Earth.
With a deep connection and love for minimalist music, especially that of Terry Riley’s organ works, heavy stoner rock ala Sleep, High on Fire and Elder and the electronic avant-garde, the Full Earth-sphere circles in on fuzzed out riffs, sonic experimentalism and noise music.”March 15, 2024 at 15:02 #42615Interesting stuff, that Full Earth album. Thanks a lot for the link!
March 15, 2024 at 15:46 #42616@punknotyet: Sounds very interesting!
That Terry Riley reference leads me to give a mention to the Swiss band The Young Gods, whose most recent release was Terry Riley In C. Here they are performing it last year:
While In C might be an acquired taste, I cannot recommend highly enough their last self-composed studio release, Data Mirage Tangram – very trancy, and possibly the best thing they have ever done.
The contrasts and potential meeting points between The Young Gods and Motorpsycho would make a collaboration very fruitful, I think. Well, I can dream…
