Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Uppsala, hahaha nice bandname and songtitles :) Sounds Jævlabra!

Great that others also find Gøsta Berlin Saga to their liking.

Gonna spend tomorrow at work with headphones on, going trough all the bands mentioned here.

Reading Tjaaaa's comment ("nice bandname"), I just remembered the best bandname in the world. The music's terrible in my ears, and it's been around for ages, so I'm breaking rule 1 and 4 big time. Still, I need to share this. They're called Duran Duran Duran! Still laughing my ass off after so many years…

                      Eat Ghosts / Miverva

I have seen Minerva for the forst time live when they played the support for Spidergawd w/ Bent in Berlin some years ago. And enjoyed them more than the Norwegians. They are a bunch of very nice guys from Potsdam (near Berlin) and have changed their name to Eat Ghosts in about 2017.

I have just recently realised that you can find them on Spotify. There their songs have been listened to less than 1000 times and I doubt that they have ever sold more than a few hundred copies of their records, which is a pity.

Listen to the opener of Minerva's Germinal record (filed under Eat Ghosts -> Minerva's Germinal) "A Child Was Born In Spring", it is one of my all time favourites. It is from 2013, sorry for breking the rules here.

Or listen to Eat Ghosts An Ti Ego record (start e.g. with "Echoecho", live footage here: https://www.ardmediathek.de/tv/Rockpalast/Eat-Ghosts-Echo-Echo/WDR-Fernsehen/Video?bcastId=8051040&documentId=56053116 ). Good stuff that is.

One of my big discoveries of 2018. Epic band, deservedly hip as f*ck and in high demand, selling out houses across the globe. Perfect combination of cool and sexy attitude and a mindlowingly lyrical guitar.

Rule #1 is broken here, sorry – this band is currently touring Europe celebrating their 10th anniversary.

But the record is really awesome (rule #4) :)!

I've recalled this album after listening to "The Crucible" (the song), because it consists of only 2 songs, 20+ minutes each.

Crazy mix of psychedelia, prog, metal, doom with elements of reggae, jazz, funk and pure chaos.

                            Highly recommended to brave psychonauts.

Thanks for the tip! Bought it immediately. Always up for adventurous, genre defying or breaking or hopping music.
