First of all: Happy New Year Psychonauts
Februari 15th 2011 marks the day that the new Mogwai album: Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will
is released.
And it sounds great!
Same to you & everyone else!
Eagerly awaiting this album… already got my ticket for their Dutch show (in March)
got my ticket for the cologne show!
nice new album, indeed! the last track is really amazing!
bands with M is good bands, aight?
the entire album in 320kbit/s before release? crazy, but…
i'll go to the hamburg show.
I'll see them at Rockefeller on april 2nd. And i love the new album!
Good album, thanks! If am not mistaken (I could be) I remember reading an interview with them mid 90s that they was really into Demon box. They´ve gotten it while touring in norway or something.

Always strikes me. To be especially considered when coming up with own bandnames…
Mogwai, Melvins, My Bloody Valentine, Motörhead, Monster Magnet, Muse and our boys.
…mother tongue, mad season, mars volta, massive attack, mastodon and so on…
… Meat Puppets, Mercury Rev, Metallica, Madness, Marilyn Manson, Manu Chao, Mountain, Moody Blues, Moby Grape, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Meat Beat Manifesto, Masters of Reality, Mr. Bungle …
Listened to the album a couple of times now and it is starting to grow on me. Despite Mogwai being one of my favorite bands, most of their albums are a mixed bag (for my taste). This one takes has more pop influences, and I think I hear things like Neu! as well. The extra track on the 2nd CD is my absolute favorite so far: Music for a forgotten future. 23 minutes of sheer bliss.
It sure is a perfect soundtrack for a daydream around magic hour!

This album comes as a real surprise to me: I had not expected them to still "catch" me with unexpected sounds and arrangaments – new songs named "Sen Pedro", "Mexican Grand Prix" or "Rano Pano" are totally blowing me away theses days
Awesome album. Considering going to Lille, France to watch them, friday 18 march. It's at Aeronef. Never been there before.
Does anyone else consider going there? Im stationed in Groningen, Netherland, going to Lille by train. Would be fun to catch up with someone else!
