I'm pretty new to the Motorpsycho world. I was listening to Superstooge today and noticed quite a resemblance to the main riff from the Stooges song 'Funhouse'. Anybody?
Absolutely. I remember they jammed around TV Eye live many years ago. Maybe it even was during Superstooge or maybe Hogwash…. And there are many more resemblances to many other bands to find in their catalogue. They dwell in rock history.
TV Eye was mainly during Black to Comm actually, along with Suicide's Rocket USA. The good ol' days…
MP has done a lot of unbelievable covers. Wow.
King Crimson's Starless!!! Though I only heard a taped version on the webs of it. I did witness an amazing Sheer Heart Attack by Queen. In concert there were also Sabbath's Fairies Wear Boots, Rainbow's A Light in the Black (which they played as a tribute to the late Dio only days after his passing). On the EPs there are quite a few covers to find. I love the Kiss and Who songs. Some say it's pointless to cover songs unless you give them your own spin. I disagree when I hear Motorpsycho's versions. They play them quite unaltered, even go so far to replicate the moods and sounds in total detail. Obviously they do cover songs as fans but with their own fervour and so they're all a blast to listen to.
