Don’t know if that has been mentioned yet, but as I was listening through the classic Stooges album “Fun House” today I stumbled upon that rhythmic pattern of Superstooge! It’s pretty much all of the song “Fun House” on side B. You can listen on youtube also: Fun House

Hmm… They made something different out of it but the idea is pretty much the same… ;)

ha, great post. I always thought Supersooge was a reference to this song. My favorite Stooges album. Great stuff. This shows how you can use virtually the same riff and make a totally different song out of it. In no means plageriatism this, just using a great reference.

I remember Bent saying that if their songs became dangerously similar to some classic songs, it was easier to just point that out quite clearly.

And yeah, the bass and drums patterns of Superstooge is similar to Fun House.

Hi, isn’t to Fun House more similar Star Star Star (from Barracuda)? Although the name Superstooge prompt there is probably inspiration…

Fun house is probably my alltime favorite album, and yeah, the title pretty much says it all

Here is a ‘brief’ version of Funhouse and some footage of a 1970 Stooges gig:

Don’t think they’ve played it during Hogwash as far as I know. They did incorporate it in Black To Comm (MC5) very often though.
