        It was released on Apple Music about seven hours ago in Japan; Spotify is already listening, though it's unclear what time it was released.

            this late in the song (or the album) I'm probably too out to notice. but now I checked right in with a mouseclick and behold! there it is!

            @johnny

            haha, yes! probably due to the orginally intended spring release.

              N.O.X. was great, of course, but the other songs and TSOR,

              which people didn't respond to as much as they should have,

              were awesome in person…

              I think it would be fun to listen to the A-side and D-side together.

                  What I like especially about Ouroboros is how it's all intricate and mad and complex but the most impact comes from the most simple guitar hook starting at 3:50. Not because it's simple, but because it's back to simple after all the freaking out. It wouldn't have this impact without the previous freaky stuff resolving itself into it, and it wouldn't have it if the song would start right there like that. This is so supercleverly tastily done.

                  The short lick from 2:31 to 2:37, well… it's a big stretch but it's quite Young Gods-ey. They often throw in something very similar in many songs as a sample. Can it be that MP know and like Switzerland's best band? 8O But it's also a lick styling that's been used many many times and the Young Gods are no strangers to using classic hooks and riffs by deep knowledge of music history… So it might just have come to both from the same pool.

                          Potential explanation for the N.O.X name: Ny (new) – Olavsfest – X (x being the thought that this or that peace was composed for the Olavsfest, but that the order wasn't determined yet).

                          Fun and down to earth though :-)

                          Fucking love (and will live) this piece in my "headphones allowed at work" life :MPD:

                          Love the rest of the album also

                            Oh Lord! Guys, I can’t say how surprised I am! And how excited! THIS ALBUM! It’s the best in absolutely decades? And that’s saying something regarding the output! How they could top the Tower and LLM I dunno, but they did, in excellent form. 10/10. And 10 for an excellent and elegant landing. The production, the vocals, the compositions, stripping away most of the baroque inclinations, leaving everything more playful and oxidized, and of course the MAJESTIC NOX, but also everything else, including the ditties. Damn. I can’t actually remember this constant quality from their hands since Trust Us. And this might just be better imo. Or at least a tie. Or a real contender! It’s a different beast, off and for a different time, but still a real attempt at that high bar. The highest. (I know these sort of comparisons are a tiresome and useless and rather dull exercise, but why not, we are nerds). The best of the Unicorn coupled with some of the 90s and pop-era vibe to create these … crystallized morphed space-gems. And I who thought this album would be a festival-commissioned dud. Maybe my “low” anticipation made it more of a knock-out. But. Thank you Motorpsycho! Thanks for feeling truly *relevant* again. And thanks Bent for that insightful and not so *smartass* ;—) memo, a nice read. I never though I would say this about a new MP album again. But damn. You did it.

                              Wow, another great album. N.O.X. has quite some Steamdome in it ^^ Thanks to Kvernberg.

                              I wonder how the'll play it live without Kvernberg and Hornveth. Looking forward to it!
