Before the concert at Byscenen there will be a support band – Angelica's Elegy
I remember seeing them at the Pstereo festival. Being bored to death by Lissie, one of the headliners, I stumbled upon them on one of the small stages. Quite nice.
December 7, 2011 at 09:42 #20745Byscenen reports that there are 13 tickets left, 15 minutes ago.
December 8, 2011 at 23:37 #20746fuck fuck fuck, it's sold out!

December 12, 2011 at 13:37 #20749Just noticed, there is still (a very small) hope for you – you can win a ticket here.
December 12, 2011 at 16:20 #20750Angelica's Elegy looks like a good choice to warm up for MP. They sound quite nice too! Anyone taping might want to catch them both.
December 15, 2011 at 07:59 #20751December 16, 2011 at 22:10 #20752Seeing some tweets about Starmelt, Wearing yr smell and In the family. Reaction to the church gigs, it looks like.
December 17, 2011 at 00:14 #20753Yeah, I'm also seeing tweets about Coventry Boy, Serpentine and 577 as the first encore!
And somebody mentioned that the opener was 22 mins long :lol:
December 17, 2011 at 00:22 #20754December 17, 2011 at 00:45 #20755The setlist. Official – but not exact.
December 17, 2011 at 00:46 #20756The concert. 2 1/2 hours – not a dull moment.
December 17, 2011 at 00:47 #20757Alright, here's tonight's setlist!
Gullible's Travails (long intro noisescape while the crew was getting the stage ready)
Iron Frock -> (short, hard & heavy rocker)
Starmelt/Lovelight
Wearing yr smell (very nice version)
In the family (also very nice)
Starhammer ->
Flick of the Wrist
Serpentine ->
Uberwagner
The Nerve Tattoo ->
A Shrug & A Fistful ->
's numbness
Nothing To Say (long and inspired middle jam)
—
Cornucopia
Sinful, wind-borne
Like Always
Walking on the Water
—
577
My thoughts: I agree that this was too much a "greatest hits" show, but it was fun nonetheless! Personal highlights were Gullible, Serpentine, 577, Flick of the Wrist, In The Family, Wearing yr smell. The final climax of Gullible actually brought a tear to my eye!
Cornucopia started with a noisy jam from Snah while Bent played a rather monotone bass riff (well, it was two tones, to be precise).
Flick started pretty quiet/soft, Bent playing bass without a pick!
Serpentine also started very quietly/softly, but the crowd had so much to talk about with each other that Bent had to kindly ask them to be quiet for a little while. Some listened to Bent, other did not.
At one point during "sinful, wind-borne" it looked like Snah was totally lost, having no idea where in the song they were or what to play, but he quickly got back into it! Did anyone else notice this? I might be wrong, but he looked really confused, shaking his head and laughing
December 17, 2011 at 00:50 #20758Ah, seems like they deviated from the planned setlist a little bit. I didn't notice any Mountain in NTS. My above post has the setlist they played.
Also, I thought the sound was a bit bad, the main problem being too much treble, which made it a bit hard to enjoy the show at some points. (note to self: invest in high grade earplugs!)
