He has a lot of pictures over at his Instagram account.
Yeah he does. It shows tags on Zildjian and a custom crash of that brand. I think he also hits Sabian, because they look similar and those have little lettering on the cymbals. I was hoping for some more detailed info, a websearch didn't come up with much.
He has been playing some Zildjians named just "Avedis", I am quite sure he has 14" hihats, 22" ride, 18" and 20" crashes. Sometimes he has a china about 20", no clue to the model(he used a Sabian Zen china about 20" from Sabian at some time). He has been using Sabian (HHX/ Legacy?) over the years, and was very hesitant to change brand! He has of course different setups to different bands/ projects. At one time he used 2 Sabian HHx/ Legacy Heavy Rides 22" for crash and ride purposes, and at one time he used a 16" Sabian hi-hat,might have been "x-plosion" HHX, maybe a prototype. At the first MP gigs he had some Sabian "HH Vintage" (Edit: not "vault") cymbals (14"hh, 22" ride, + crashes), and he used a 16" in front… "as a splash". Percussion includes an old frying pan hung by a string because it has a nice timbre/ tone. I know this beacuse I am a drummer and always try to bugger him about the details after the shows!
@Fredzep, thank you, that's very helpful.
